2 Through Career & College Promise (CCP), qualified high-school-age students in North Carolina have the opportunity to pursue these options, tuition free, while they are in high school, allowing them to get a jumpstart on their workplace and college preparation. Courses are offered fall, spring, and summer!

3 Types of CCP programs/pathways: College Transfer College transfer pathways provide tuition-free course credits toward the Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Fine Arts in Visual Arts and Associate Degree Nursing that will transfer seamlessly to any public or participating private college or university. Career & Technical Education Earn tuition-free course credits at Surry Community College toward a job credential, certificate or diploma in a technical career.

4 ASSOCIATE IN ARTS Pathway This CCP College Transfer Pathway provides up to credit hours leading to the Associate in Arts and is designed for high school juniors and seniors who wish to begin study toward the Associate in Arts degree and a baccalaureate degree in a non-stem major. 12 Eligibility Criteria for Career & Technical Education Pathways Junior or Senior in high school; AND Weighted GPA of 3.0 OR recommendation of HS principal or designee; AND Have received career pathway information outlining program requirements for completion of the certificate or diploma.

13 Student must: 1. Continue to make graduation; AND progress toward HS 2. Maintain a 2.0 GPA in college coursework after completing two courses.
