11 UC Admissions Requirements Two SAT Subject Tests are no longer required for admissions. However, students could still take and choose to submit their scores for consideration as part of their application, especially if you excel in that subject. The Subject Tests also could be recommended for certain majors, e.g. Engineering. Check with the college/university. All applicants must complete 11 of the min. 15 a-g courses by the end of their Junior year. Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher Take 4-5 a-g courses each year. 13 COLLEGE ADMISSIONS TESTS ACT Aspire Results released in December PSAT - taken in 11th grade, a practice for SAT Take SAT and/or ACT with Writing during JUNIOR year (usually March, April, May, or June) Take SAT Subject Test in May or June after completing appropriate course. (Ex: World Hist, Bio, Physics this June) You may re-take the SAT Reasoning & Subject test or ACT with Writing during Senior year by December for most public colleges.
