1 TESTING DATES TO PLACE ON YOUR SCHOOL CALENDAR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS SURVEY Intent to Participate Survey (delivered by ) Due August 1 TGRG K-3 First Day of School thru September 30 - Third Grade Reading Guarantee (TGRG) - K-3 Reading Diagnostic Testing Required for K-3 scholarship students and expected for K-3 non-scholarship students Students are coded either On Track, Not on Track, or Not Assessed. Students scoring Not on Track or Not Assessed must begin receiving intensive reading intervention by November 30. Schools must use an approved reading diagnostic assessment and have materials prepared for use on the first day of school. Testing must be completed by November 18 and testing booklets ready for shipment on November 18. TGRG 3 Thursday, December 1 - TGRG - First Alternate Assessment IOWA Form F Required for grade 3 state scholarship students and recommended for non-scholarship students. Testing must be completed within 5 school days and testing booklets returned by Friday, December 9. 2 TESTING DATES TO PLACE ON YOUR SCHOOL CALENDAR OELPA K-8 January March Ohio English Language Proficiency Assessment (OELPA) Testing Required for K-12 scholarship English Language Learner (ELL) students not yet exited. This is an online assessment. Students will need a headset with microphone for the speaking test and a headset for all other tests. Some printed accommodated forms will be available. Teachers administering the assessment must be trained. The speaking test must be administered individually. ELL students who scored a composite score of 5 the previous school year or who have scored a composite score of 4 or above for two years during grade 3 or later do not test. This assessment is used instead of the 3-8 examinations. Assessment training is available at various state regional service centers. Teachers administering the assessment must be trained. Participation is optional for non-scholarship students. Participation is required for scholarship students. Tested subjects include reading, mathematics, science, writing, technology and engineering literacy, history, civics, geography, visual arts, and music. Other testing is optional. Testing must be completed between March 6 and March 22. All testing answer documents returned by Thursday, March 23. Schools returning materials after March 23 risk scores not being reported in district summaries and risk being charged a late processing fee. 6 HIGH SCHOOLS SURVEY Intent to Participate Survey (delivered by ) August 1 OGT 12 Class October 24 November 4 Fall Ohio Graduation Tests (OGT) for the 2017 Graduating Required for all students of the 2017 graduating class who have not passed all 5 tests or who have not yet met their participation requirement. ISP students whose plan exempts them from passing must test at least once after the exemption decision has been made. Schools must order in OLD TIDE by early September NCEA 12 October/November - NCEA IFG-ACRE Religious instruction test required for all students in grade 12. Online version is now available. Fall testing is for students completing a course at the end of semester 1, students wanting to take a course examination again to earn a higher score, students wanting to earn a score higher than the score earned by their course grade, or for students choosing to test for the first time after already completing the course earlier.
