8 Time line for Registration Address Verification letters were sent out by the district office Address verification must be complete by May 1st 8

9 Time line for Registration March 15th-Middle schools will given placement test results and course placement forms. Placement in core subjects is based on district mandated guidelines. 9

10 Time line for Registration Students can be recommended th by their 8 grade teachers for AS English I and Geometry Enriched 1 0

11 Timeline Continued Course placement forms will be sent home for parent review and signature. Students will rank elective choices and return forms to Middle School. 1 1

27 Graduation Requirements Students must take and pass courses in specific subject areas in order to earn a high school diploma. Students must earn a total of 220 credits in these specific subjects. 2 7

28 College Requirements ( a g ) Courses required by UC and CSU to be eligible to apply for admission following high school graduation. Students must earn a C or better in a-g courses. 2 8

37 Sports Each sport is 3.5 credits Sports count as elective credits 3.5 credits of PE can be waived for each sport in 10th, 11th and 12th grade Students must maintain a 2.0 to play sports 3 7

39 Career Technical Education CTE is a program of study that integrates core academic knowledge with technical & occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to postsecondary education & careers.

43 Attendance Requirement A student will not earn credit for a course if he or she has 18 absences and 3 or more of these absences are cuts. Students will not be penalized for 18 cleared absences (ex. Health, school activities, etc) Parents have up to five days to clear an absence.

45 Fall Sports Information on tryouts for Fall sports will be available on the Carlmont web site in mid May. Online clearance packets will be available in late May. 4 5
