Creativity Action and Service (CAS) Report Pathways World School, Aravali Retreat 2015-2016 1
CAS consists of three components Creativity, Action and Service. Creativity is a wide range of arts and other innovative activities outside the normal curriculum which include creative thinking in the design and carrying out of service projects. Action may involve participation in sport or other activities requiring physical exertion such as expeditions and camping trips. Service is an unpaid and voluntary exchange that has a learning benefit for the student. Service activities should not only involve doing things for others but also doing things with others. Pathways World School, Aravali, has always had community service incorporated into its core values and is always eager for opportunities to contribute to society whenever and wherever possible. Being an international school, Pathways offers curricula such as the PYP, MYP and the DP that are integrated from the core with a strong sense of community and service. The assistance rendered to the neighbouring village schools has been not only in terms of infrastructure but we also looked at increasing the availability of human resources. 2
