Classroom Updates! Social Studies: 6th is guiding their own research to discover more about the extraordinary ancient Egyptian civilization! 7th is beginning their problem-based learning unit on the Renaissance today and will be discovering and exploring one of mankind's most dynamic times in history!8th is pushing themselves to look at different points of view in their recent studies of indigenous people of the Americas and settling Europeans by looking at the Europeans push and pull factors to the New World! Math: Students are continuing their mastery of equations and understanding slope! Science: 6 th grade is exploring photosynthesis and new lab equipment, 7 th took outdoor education classes this week at Camp Greenville, and 8 th is well into their chemistry unit! ELA: 6th and 8th grade are wrapping up their first novels this week. They will begin their projects associated with their respective novels at the end of this week into the beginning of next week. 7th grade will finish reading The Outsiders next week with projects to follow! School Needs Hot Glue sticks Healthy Snacks /Student Pantry Bottled Water SGA SHOUT OUTS! 7 th Grade 7 th Grade spent Tuesday and Wednesday at YMCA Camp Greenville this week! This week s shout out is in honor of the entire 7 th grade class! Every student was exhibiting model behavior, opened themselves up to new experiences, learned to trust one another, and had a great time doing it! We are very, very proud of the 7 th grade class and their behavior on their first overnight field trip students and chaperones alike had a wonderful experience! Way to go, 7 th graders! TCS Boys Dance Crew! The TCS Boys Crew is lining up performances for the year stay tuned! Also, congrats to Tucker Buchanan who was elected by his team to serve as the Boys Crew From Captain! the Principal s Desk: Parents, 10/29 is makeup school picture day for any student that was absent and did not have their picture made. 7 th Grade had a great trip to Camp Greenville this week; check it out on our facebook page!
