4 BALLET The ballet program at Greta Leeming is based on the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, starting at the age of with Kinderdance going all the way to Advanced. The RAD is the world s largest examining and teacher education organization of classical ballet. The carefully designed syllabus benefits the recreational as well as the professionally oriented student. There are opportunities for yearly examinations at the grade and vocational levels. Our qualified and elite ballet teachers have performed around the world in professional dance companies and have achieved the highest levels the RAD has to offer. Our teachers also have experience in multiple relevant dance and fitness programs such as SCOTT Pilates, Contemporary, and Progressing Ballet Technique. All ballet levels from Pre-Primary to Advanced have the opportunity to participate in exams held multiple times throughout the year. 8 LYRICAL/ CONTEMPORARY A compilation of different styles of dance, including jazz, lyrical, classical ballet and modern with more emphasis on expressive movement, emotion and storytelling. The discipline concentrates on ones individual approach to dance rather than technical steps. HIP HOP Hip hop dancing is an urban dance genre that blends music styles and dance moves. It has become a very popular style in recent years due to the generations interest in commercial dance. Most musical tours and music videos incorporate the art of hip hop. As the focus is not on technique in these classes, a student is required to take a jazz or ballet class in the same term. -8 years Monday :0-7:1 Tuesday 7:00-7: - S.A.* Saturday 11:1-1: years Monday 7:1-8:00 - FULL* Tuesday 7: - 8:0 - FULL* Friday :0 - :0 EM HF -7 years Tuesday :0 - :1 8-1 years Thursday :00 - : - FULL* Saturday 1:00-1: - FULL* EM 1+ years Level 1 Friday 7:0-8:0 HF 1+ years Level Friday :0-7:0 HF * Class full, waitlist available, contact the studio for details * Was full, limited space now available
