1 B20042 Bachelor of Economics Course Structure (Commencing 2018) Course requirements The course comprises 144 points, of which 96 points must be commerce units from the Clayton campus and 48 points are free electives. This is a specialist course, structured in the following three parts; Part B Economics discipline (Economics and economic policy stream OR Mathematical economics and econometrics stream) with capstone (72 points) Part C Free elective study (48 points). These elective units may be chosen from within the Bachelor of Commerce course to extend your major, or to complete a second listed major or minor(s). They may also be taken from non-commerce disciplines to broaden your knowledge or to complete a major or minor(s) from another course (with faculty/campus permission). Note that at most two units may contribute towards two majors or a major and a minor. Additional degree requirements: A minimum of 16 units (96 points) must be commerce units from the Clayton campus. A maximum of 10 units (60 points) at level 1. A minimum of 6 units (36 points) at level 3, with at least four units (24 points) must be from the Faculty of Business and Economics at Clayton campus. If you intend to, or may, undertake an Honours year, you should ensure you complete the specific units required for Honours in your chosen major area of study.
