2 TODAY S PURPOSE 1. Ensure that students and parents know what to expect as we approach graduation. 2. Communicate deadlines and expectations with enough time for everyone to meet them. 3. Ensure that every senior completes requirements to graduate on JUNE 3RD.

4 PASSPORTS TEACHER SIGNATURES Students should get their teachers signatures the week of MAY 18TH ALL 10 CLASSES will need signatures. Even early release/late arrival. See teacher of record for signature.

8 ACADEMICS FINAL GRADES All coursework and assignments will be scored for final grades. If coursework is incomplete, student will not be permitted to participate in Senior Activities. Students will need to attend class to take ACP RECONNECT Reconnect courses and ACPs must be completed by MAY 25TH for seniors to walk at graduation. Deadline is FINAL. Reconnect must be completed by May 20th to participate in Senior Activities Week. MAY 18TH DUE MAY 25TH OPEN SATURDAYS UNTIL MAY 19TH

9 CREDIT RECOVERY AVAILABLE TUTORING HOURS Your student can complete their credit recovery at the following times: REQUIREMENTS Credit Recovery logs and assignments must be turned in to Ms. Cavazos in Main Office. If credit is not recovered by this time, the student will attend class until Friday, June 2nd. Athletes should return all uniforms, equipment to their coaches by Monday, May 22nd. Overdue library books can be returned to Ms. Moore at any time. Lost books should be paid for by 5/22.

17 TUESDAY AM: SENIOR AWARDS WHAT TO EXPECT: Ceremony begins at 10:00AM DRESS CODE Students will be recognized for their achievements: Young Men: Scholarships Academic Awards Senior Favorites Honor Roll Etc. Sunday Best Slacks, collared shirt, tie (optional) Young Women: Dresses, slacks, blouses *A change of clothes can be stored in Mr. Davenport s room at retrieved when students arrive back to campus from Shenaniganz that evening.

18 TUESDAY PM: SHENANIGANZ $47 WHAT TO EXPECT DRESS CODE Leave NDHS at 1:00PM North Dallas T-Shirt Return at 7:00PM Jeans/Shorts (in dress code) May 3rd Close-toed shoes TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS Students must ride bus to event. If a student is seen at Shenaniganz and did not ride the bus, it will be reported to the Principal, Attendance Office, and Shenaniganz staff will be notified for removal. Students not in dress code will not be allowed on the bus. Ticket will be forfeited.

19 WEDNESDAY: SIX FLAGS $36 WHAT TO EXPECT DRESS CODE Leave NDHS at 10:00AM North Dallas T-Shirt Return at 7:00PM Jeans/Shorts (in dress code) May 19th Close-toed shoes TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS Students must ride bus to event. If a student is seen at Six Flags and did not ride the bus, it will be reported to the Principal, Attendance Office, and Park Staff for removal. Students not in dress code will not be allowed on the bus. Ticket will be forfeited. ***Cafeteria Lunches Provided***

21 THURSDAY: FIELD DAY WHAT TO EXPECT DRESS CODE Free North Dallas HS School-appropriate shirt and shorts. Water balloons, water slides, games, senior picnic. No white shirts. 9:30AM - 3:00PM Check-in at 9:30AM No re-entry into main building during Field Day. Students compete in teams with team theme. Towel/Change of clothes

22 FRIDAY: GRADUATION REHEARSAL WHAT TO EXPECT DRESS CODE Leave North 9:15 AM Get back around 12:00 PM Senior Shirt Jeans (no holes) Cap and Gowns distributed by Jostens Graduation tickets distributed afterward. (10 per student) IMPORTANT NOTE TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS Transportation provided by NDHS Students CANNOT drive themselves Seniors who do not attend graduation rehearsal will not get 2nd round graduation tickets.

26 GRADUATION DRESS CODE The following attire for graduation is mandatory: Ladies: cap and gown over dress; dress should not be longer than the gown. Dark shoes - no tennis shoes or athletic shoes, no corsages, gum or candy. Caps are to be worn flat on head, nothing should be allowed on mortarboards except tassels. Gentlemen: cap and gown over slacks and dress shirt. Dark shoes - no tennis shoes or athletic shoes. No boutonnieres, jewelry, gum or candy. Caps are to be worn flat on head with nothing on the mortarboards except tassels.

27 GRADUATION DAY The Dallas ISD graduation staff and /or police and security may refuse admission to (or may expel) graduates and patrons for the disruptive or disorderly conduct: Noisemakers, air horns, balloons, Silly String / confetti, ladders, matches, laser pointers, weapons, backpacks, large purses, bags, food and drinks, tobacco products, large flower arrangements, signs, large banners, tripods and professional cameras are prohibited. Persons including graduates found but these items will be escorted from the venue. Some items may be left in the car during ceremony (large bags, balloons, large flower arrangements) and given to the graduate outside.
