1 INTERSCHOOL SPORTS DAY REPORT DCS SCHOOLS INTERSCHOOL SPORTS EVENT CONDUCTED ON 17 th JANUARY 2016 The second interschool annual sports meet of 9 Dharma Chakra Samsthanam Schools was held at the premises of Shree Bharathi Group Institution, Mangalore on 17 th January List of schools participated : 1. Swami Sadananda Saraswathi, English Medium High School, Mangalore. 2. Shree Bharathi Gurukulam, Hosanagara. 3. Shree Bharathi Vidyalaya, Bangalore 4. Shree Bharathi Vidyapeetha, Mujungavu. 5. Shree Bharathi Vidyapeetha, Badiyadka. 6. Pragathi Vidyalaya Kannada Medium School, Muroor. 7. Pragathi Vidyalaya English Medium School, Muroor. 8. Shree Sai Saraswathi Vidyakendra, Mysore. 9. Shree Bhrathi Vidyasamsthe, Uruvalu. 10. Shree Bharathi Vidyanikethana, Chadaruhalli.
2 At 9 am inaugural ceremony with the march past parade by all the students. The sports meet was officially declared open by Mrs. Roopa Bangera, who hoisted the Dharma Chakra Samsthanam flag. After the prayer President of Bharathi Group of Institution Dr. Rajendra Prasad, welcomed the guests of honor. Shree Bharathi Pre - University College Principal Mrs. Vidya Bhat gave introductory speech and thanked the invitees and participants. Sri Kumaranath, Resident Editor, Vijaya Karnataka gave address and appreciated the uniqueness of campus. Mrs. Roopa Bangera gave an encouraging speech to the students. Chief Guest Mrs Roopa Bangera, Corporator, Nanthoor blessed the ceremony by offering auspicious coconut inflorescence. Mrs. Roopa Bangera, lighted the lamp as a symbol to expose pupils potential. Mrs. Sheela Girish conducted the program. Management treasurer Sri Krishna Bhat Neeramule presented the vote of thanks. Management committee vice president Sri Ganesh Mohan Kashimath, Secretary Sri Jatti Ishwara Bhat, Joint Secretary Sri Ramachandra Bhat was present in the occasion. Swami sadananda saraswathi vidyalaya committee president Mr. M G Mohan was also present in the occasion. Number of team events was held for girls and boys separately. Team games were; 1. Volleyball ( juniors / seniors for boys) 2. Throwball ( juniors / seniors for boys) 3. Carrom Doubles ( juniors / seniors for boys & girls) 4. Kabaddi ( juniors / seniors for boys) 5. Chess Individual ( juniors/seniors for boys & girls) Each event was classified into junior and senior categories. Girls participated in all the events except kabaddi and volleyball. Sri Balakrishna, physical instructor of Kittle Memorial High School was in charge as the commentator for the days tournament. Other esteemed officials were Sri Alwin Saldanha, Sri Godwin, Sri Rohan and Sri BalaKrishna. Prompt first aid treatment was provided by Kshema Hospital representatives for minor injuries to the students.
3 At 6 pm all the students, teachers and delegates assembled for the valedictory ceremony. Mrs. Ushadevi, Principal of Shree Bharathi First Grade College welcomed the gathering. Ms. Rema Nair, Senior Program Manager of Sri Siddantha Foundation Chennai and Mrs. Sharada Jayagovind, Secretary of Vidya Samithi of Dharma Chakra Samstanam Schools addressed the students. Mrs Vidya Bhat, Principal of Shree Bharathi Pre University Collage conveyed vote of thanks. Miss Anoosha conducted the programme. All Management committee members where present on the vocation. Winners and runner ups were felicitated with the medals and certificates. All the sports team members received participation certificates. Rolling trophy for the year 2016 was received by Shree Bharathi Gurukulam from Hosanagara, who achieved 43 points. Sports championship trophy was claimed by Pragathi Vidyalaya from Muroor who scored 40 points. Ms. Rema Nair, of Sri Siddantha Foundation Chennai, lowered the Dharma Chakra Samsthanam flag to signify the closing ceremony. The event had all the richness of happiness of exuberance, skill and enthusiasm. It was close knit family event. HEALTHY BODY HEALTHY MIND HEALTHY SPIRIT
