3 St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls supports and nurtures each student as she continues to develop to her full potential as a woman of faith and integrity through personal growth, learning and service to others. Since opening our doors in 1941, St. Hubert has nurtured the academic curiosity, dreams and goals of young women. We offer an unparalleled educational experience in a warm, welcoming environment. We challenge the intellect of our students and encourage them to learn about themselves and the world around them. Our mission is to help young women become responsible leaders who possess knowledge and skills beyond textbooks. They become scholars, athletes, writers, artists and leaders within the community. We promote individuality and want each girl to achieve and succeed in her own way. Our graduates walk confidently from St. Hubert with a passion for learning and the ability to make their mark on the world.

5 An all-female education allows young women to focus on learning in the ways they learn best. St. Hubert offers an all-girl environment that is both academically and spiritually vibrant. Our rich heritage is rooted in faith and provides a nurturing, innovative atmosphere in which students thrive. High school is a time of learning, discovery and fun. It is also the time when girls develop their selfawareness and inner strength. Single-sex education gives girls a distinct advantage in life. Studies have shown that girls find it easier to excel and become more confident learning in an all-girl setting. Our students feel free to express themselves. They ask questions, take initiative and can be a part of an array of activities including arts, athletics, clubs, student ministry and service. The all-girl environment creates a special bond among students and a strong sense of community that allows every girl to be their best self.

At St. Hubert, each day begins and ends with prayer, and daily Mass is offered in the chapel on campus. Students learn about Catholic social teachings and take classes in theology. Each grade level has its own annual retreat, and school-wide Eucharistic liturgies and student-led prayer services are held throughout the year. Faith is a central part of the St. Hubert experience, and it is integrated into everyday life in our school. Though our teaching is rooted in Roman Catholic tradition, we respect all faiths. Each girl learns a fundamental love and respect for God, herself and the world. Because our students are becoming responsible citizens, we also emphasize personal accountability, sound moral principles and the dignity of every person.

9 We provide our young women with a robust academic experience aimed at arming our students with skills that will lead to success in the world beyond the walls of our school. The academic program at St. Hubert provides students with a diverse curriculum designed to challenge each girl individually. We believe in engaging students in the learning process and offering unique electives in every subject area. The lessons in our classrooms develop girls into independent, creative and critical thinkers. Our curriculum includes over thirty-five honors-level college preparatory courses and ten Advanced Placement options. We also provide learning enrichment programs such as faculty mentoring, math clinics, study skills and peer tutoring. Over 80% of our faculty holds a Master s degree in their chosen field, and with a teacher-to-student ratio of 20:1, our students receive personal attention and the quality instruction they deserve. With the foundation of well-rounded liberal arts requirements, student-tailored electives and readily available guidance and support. St. Hubert offers a superior educational experience. 1:1 Chrome Book Program St. Hubert issues a Chrome Book to every student through our 1:1 Chrome Book program. Our goal is to reach beyond traditional academic boundaries and deliver to our students the twenty-first century skills of critical thinking, problem solving, communication and creativity. Our students use their Chrome Books to access textbooks, communicate with teachers and take class notes and tests. Chrome Books have proven to be a dynamic catalyst for student engagement and collaboration.

Cross Country Field Hockey Golf Soccer Tennis Volleyball Basketball Bowling Cheerleading Indoor Track & Field Swimming Lacrosse Softball Outdoor Track & Field Our athletics teams win championships on off the field, which means we regularly compete for league and Pennsylvania State titles. Our student athletes learn how to set and achieve goals, work as a team, win with class and lose with dignity. St. Hubert has the largest women s athletic program in Philadelphia with 14 varsity sports. Our athletic program strives to promote healthy competition and to embody the highest ideals of sportsmanship and respect. Our student athletes strive to compete at the highest level their ability and performance will allow. Our student-athletes compete in the highly regarded Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) and many of our graduates go on to compete at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels, often serving as team captains. 12 The Arts

13 St. Hubert offers a comprehensive arts program that gives students the opportunity to express themselves creatively and cultivate their artistic talents and abilities. St. Hubert offers a well-rounded, four-year arts program that arms students with a strong body of work upon completion of the program. Students in this program have been featured in special exhibits and news releases, won several major awards in various competitions and juried exhibits, and have received numerous scholarships to various art schools. Art courses are offered to students with a desire to develop their artistic skills. A wide variety of experiences is provided throughout the different levels. Drawing, color theory, design principles, painting, ceramics, and computer graphics are the major areas of study. An understanding of the basics through progressive lessons prepares the student to meet new challenges on her own. The St. Hubert music program includes one of the few remaining symphonic orchestras in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and both an active and performing chorus and hand bell choir. Performances include many events, ceremonies, and concerts during the school year, including graduation. They have also successfully performed in various venues and competitions, including All-Cathoic Orchestra and Chorus. Many of our members have received All-Catholic status in the Archdiocese. St. Hubert also has an active performing arts program that includes dance club, drama club and a stage production put on in the St. Hubert auditorium each year. Students with all levels of experience participate in the performing arts at St. Hubert.

15 After-school activities are a vital part of the high school experience. They re where students make new friends, explore a passion, broaden their interests and become leaders. Involvement in our campus life as well as in the community is an important part of the St. Hubert experience. While doing so, our students have the opportunity to demonstrate their leadership abilities, meet other students and explore talents and interests that lead to personal development. Our goal is to provide our students with the vehicles for personal growth and development by offering a wide range of extracurricular clubs and activities. We also encourage girls to create their own activities; all they need is a faculty or staff moderator and other students with a common interest. Joining an activity is one of the best ways for students to discover who they are and find their unique place at St. Hubert!

17 Graduation marks the beginning of new adventures and bright futures. Each student leaves St. Hubert with a strong academic, leadership and extracurricular foundation to guarantee a successful college career. Our graduates have a proud history 99% college placement at schools across the nation. In addition, each year our students earn millions of dollars in scholarships. The first graduating class of 1942 and our newest students all share in over seven decades of sisterhood, rooted in a common commitment to serving others and improving the world around us. Almost 30,000 alumnae can count St. Hubert as their alma mater and have left after graduation prepared to do great things around the world. They are successful in business, media, international affairs, politics, teaching, medicine, science, the arts and many other areas. They are exemplary friends, wives, mothers and volunteers who make their communities better places to live. Although our alumnae have chosen many paths, they will always have certain things in common: adhering to our cherished motto of becoming women of faith and integrity, an excellent education received from caring and talented faculty, and the happy memories of St. Hubert traditions like St. Hubert Day (Freshman Day) and receiving class rings. From their first day all the way to graduation, each group of students follows proudly in the footsteps of the women who came before them.
