1 UAE National Day NEWSLETTER Al Ain Juniors School Celebrates UAE National Day On e occasion of e UAE National Day students of AJB celebrated in school by wearing UAE costumes to show eir solidarity towards UAE. Celebrations for e UAE National Day was marked by e students in e Arab costumes. UAE Celebration started wi e decoration of Classrooms and corridors, adding an outstanding, glamourous and festive look. Children contributed massively by bringing all decoratives and decorating e school wi e help and guidance of eir teachers. Students of grades 1-6 gaered in e AJI Assembly area and started e assembly wi Quran recitation followed by e National Anem and e School song. The campus was decorated ahead of time in preparation for e event. The students participated enusiastically in different activities. They decorated eir classes and e corridors by displaying e art work ey had prepared for at day. The celebration started early in e morning where each student was given a UAE flag, hat and a balloon. Students lined up for e National Anem during e morning assembly by wearing eir hats and waving e flags which ey had made in eir classes during at week. 1

2 Dance Performance: After e introduction, girls performed e traditional Opera dance which was a spectacular one followed by a number of activities like speech bo in Arabic and in English. Food Sharing Party: Emirati students and oer students brought traditional food and desserts to share wi all ose who were celebrating e event. During e break time, tables have been arranged and a number of students were sharing food wi everyone inside e classroom. Variety of Emirati dishes: As a part of National Day celebration, ere were Emirati food like harees (wheat wi meat) fareed (meat and vegetable stew), machboos (rice, onion and meat) and balaleet (pasta dish). 2

3 Celeberation of UAE national day is an important event in Al Ain Juniors every year. The event was held on 29 November is year. The students were requested to wear colourful dress in is day. To our surprise, most of e students willingly wore e UAE traditional dress and e flag dress. The programme commenced wi Qur'an recitation followed by national anem. The programme was hosted by e some of e grade 11 and 12 students. Furermore, ere was a folk dance of U.A.E performed by many different ages and group of our students, which was spectacular. Later, e diverse students of AJS represented eir country ( 3 or 4 from each country ) and anked U.A.E for its splendid contribution interms of safety, education etc. Finally, After e programme, The chairman and e Principal of AJS addressed e gaering and was all praise for e fluency in which e pupils spoke and conducted e entire programme. The Vote of anks was given bo in Arabic and English. 3

4 Al Ain Juniors School Kindergarten UAE National Day Celebrates The UAE National Day celebrations at Al-Ain Juniors Kindergarten on e 29 of November 2016 wholly embodied e essence, vision and spirit of e land we call 'our home away from home'. The Kindergarten students and eir teachers came dressed in UAE flag colours. The Kindergarten was alive wi hues of green, black, red and white, UAE traditions, customs, values and heritage, especially e national dress, while expressing eir dedication towards e country was highlighted rough e Assembly. The School leadership too joined e celebrations in spirited solidarity much to e rill of e students. The 45 UAE National Day celebrations were a spectacular event held roughout e Kindergarten. The celebrations provided an opportunity to children from all cultures and backgrounds to express eir dedication and d e votion towa rd s t h e UA E, w h i l e understanding our local culture and national identity. The highlights of e programme were was, e Quran Recitation, Prayer and National Anem of e UAE. The Junior KG children performed an Arabic dance A Salute to e Nation and e Senior KG performed a dance called, Beauty of Life, on e stage. After e dance performances all children wearing UAE costumes went up on e stage for a costume show. Children participated in various activities conducted in eir classrooms related to e National day such as hand printing on UAE flags, craft work on outlines of Burj Khalifa and so on. What a Day?...we loved it. 4

5 Al Ain Juniors (Indian System) UAE National Day Celebration nd The United Arab Emirates celebrated e 45 national day on 2 December The day is a celebration of e high regard in which we hold e founding President of e UAE, e late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his fellow founding faers of e UAE Federation. The pa ey laid down is now followed by e President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who continues to lead e nation's march to progress and prosperity. School Assembly. Al Ain Juniors Indian System Joined e nation on its 45 national day on 29 nd November as 2 December being a holiday. The celebrations at e school began wi e beautiful assembly at was organized by UAE and Arabic Department along wi e HI Day committee. In e assembly e highly revered UAE heritage was presented rough e traditional dance. Al Ain Juniors being an expatriate school took is opportunity to say a big anks to e foster nation. The love and gratitude towards e nation was presented rough e national day song 'Sukhram Emirati' sang live wi e live instrumentation by e students. 5

6 Manuscript Magazine Release His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan had announced e year 2016 as e year of Reading. Giving heed to e call e English Department had planned a book release on is day. In e Morning Assembly, Mr. Arshad, Chairman of AJ Schools, presented six manuscript magazines prepared by e students to Mr. Gaffar, Senior Vice Principal of Al Ain Juniors in e presence of all e students and e teaching Faculty. 6

7 Conclusion: The students of Al Ain Juniors School had a wonderful celebration and made a remarkable record in e minds of all ose who took part in e celebration. We wish e United Arab Emirates a Happy 45 National Day 7
