Felicitation of Rtn.M.Niranjan Rao It was yet another memorable day in our club s premises in the felicitation of our beloved Rtn.Niranjan Rao jointly by Lions Club VSP Steel City & our Club. Initially, Invitees were treated to startling dishes on the menu of special breakfast & Tea. Rtn.Niranjan Rao having elevated to the post of Independent Director in NFL, was mainly due to his hardwork & reputation in his profession. Every member of visiting Lions Club & our Club were very enthusiastic to wish him on this covetted achievement. Our Club President, Rtn.V.C. introduced & congratulated him & addressed the gathering Lions Club President, Ln.J.V.Choudhary and Secretary Ln. V.Eswar Rao spoke about his achievements in his profession & social service & wished him success for his aspiring political career. Further, Lions Club proposed and mutually agreed with our Club to support each other in various social service activities in future. Witnessing this, Rotary Club Gajuwaka, President too proposed to mutually co-operate in various of our social service activities. Several other friends & Associates of Rotary wished him personally on the occasion.

2 P A G E 2 If we want to see another century of Rotary, we must make Rotary attractive to young people. Many young people share our beliefs. To get them involved in Rotary, we must concentrate on activities that capture their attention, so they are willing to make a commitment. It is not the responsibility of young people to come to our clubs. It is ours to invite them. Address to 1994 Rotary Convention, Taipei, Taiwan Blood Donation Camps 1) Our club in conjunction with Actor Mahesh Babu fans, organized Blood Donation Camp on 09th Aug 2011 at Hotel Sudha and collected 41 Units. Special thanks goes to Rtn.Chatti Appa Rao, who is also secretary to above Fans Club. 2) With HDB, division of HDFC credit, our club collected 23 Units on 13th Aug Special Thanks to goes to Rtn.Ravi Varma. 3) In conjunction with Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, our club collected 20 Units on 14th Aug Special Thanks goes to Rtn.Nirmal Dugar. Special Cheers goes to Rtn.Ravi Varma for being instrumental in organizing Blood Camps in the past as well as now. Lets work for record level collection of Units this season as there is still large requirement at Rotary Blood Bank, Visakhapatnam. Fruit Distribution Programme Fruit Distribution programme for below locations could not be conducted on 12th Aug 2011 as weekly meeting was preponed to Sunday ie. for felicitation of Rtn.Niranjan Rao. 1) Chettivanipalem, 2) Appanna Colony, 3) Akkireddypalem, 4) Driver s Colony. Sponsors for forthcoming weeks are solicited from our beloved members & friends to keep this tradition of Fruit Distribution alive. Blood Bank Project Donations for our prestigious Blood Bank Project are solicited from all sections of the society. Anticipations alone doesn t realize our dream plans into reality. Hence, meticulous planning & rigorous hard work would see our Club on the geographical map of Blood Banks in Visakhapatnam. As of now, necessary government permissions are underway, meanwhile, let s strive hard together to reach our goal FULL FLEDGED BLOOD BANK in Autonagar.

Membership Development Rajahmundry Membership Development Seminar, hosted by RC River City, at Rajahmundry on 14th Aug 2011 was attended by our members, Rtn.K.Srinivasa Reddy, Rtn.Satyanarayana Reddy (Raghu), Rtn.Raj Sekhar, Rtn.Ravi Varma, Rtn.Ramesh.A., Rtn.Mohan Mutyala Rao, Rtn.Prasad Raju.. Rtn.Kamal Singhvi of RC-Dhanbad, RI Dist: 3250, summarized the following during Membership Development Seminar. 1) Young Members less than 40 years of age may be given preference to join Rotary. 2) Lady Members needs to be invited in large numbers. 3) Present a nice gift to new members on the date of joining. 4) All anns must become Rotarian members. 5) Weekly Meeting venues must be changed on a continued basis to give different outlook to the programmes of Rotary.

Mob: About Rotary To keep clubs strong, every Rotarian must share the responsibility of bringing new people into Rotary. Even new members can bring guests to club meetings or invite them to participate in a service project. Keeping members involved in Rotary is another responsibility. Fostering strong fellowship and encouraging early participation in service projects are two of the best ways to sustain a club s membership. Active membership Active membership is by invitation from a current Rotarian, to professionals or businesspersons working in diverse areas of endeavour. Each club may limit up to ten per cent of its membership representing each business or profession in the area it serves. The goal of the clubs is to promote service to the community they work in, as well as to the wider world. Many projects are organised for the local community by a single club, but some are organised globally. Honorary membership Honorary membership is given by election of a Rotary Club to people who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service in the furtherance of Rotary ideals. Honorary membership is conferred only in exceptional cases. Honorary members are exempt from the payment of admission fees and dues. They have no voting privileges and are not eligible to hold any office in their club. Honorary membership is time limited and terminates automatically at the end of the term, usually one year. It may be extended for an additional period or may also be revoked at any time. Examples of honorary members are or former heads of state, famous or other famous people.

He was actively involved in various service activities since last 22years in Gajuwaka. He donated around 9000 note books to the students of Government Schools at Gajuwaka. Political Positions: 1) Organizing Secretary, Prajarajyam Party, Visakhapatnam Dist, 2) Representative of 52 nd Ward for Gajuwaka MLA, Shri.Chintalpudi Venkata Ramayya. 3) Committee member for GVMC 52 nd Ward.
