1 A. TERM 2 REVIEWS FOR P1 AND P2 RADIN MAS PRIMARY SCHOOL EXAMINATION MATTERS 2016 Radin Mas Primary School (RMPS) has moved away from an overly strong emphasis on examinations at P1 and P2. P1 and P2 students are assessed through bite-size assessments to build their confidence and desire to learn. These reviews allow the teachers to ascertain the mastery level of the students for the topics taught so that they can conduct timely intervention on areas of concern. Unit reviews will be carried out as normal classwork after the teachers have completed the units, under non-examination conditions. B. RUBRIC REFERENCE ASSESSMENT FOR P1 AND P2 (HOD EL, HOD Ma, HOD MTL) Mathematics There will be on-going Mathematics Performance Tasks for students to demonstrate their knowledge or skills. These will allow teachers to monitor students progress in relation to identified outcomes. English & Mother Tongue Languages There are language skills, which are not observable in pen-paper tests. Your child s developmental progress will be monitored through different forms of assessments throughout the year. The table below tabulates the traits that will be observed in the classroom in Term 2.
