1 Английский язык 7 класс Инструкция по выполнению заданий Материалы по английскому языку для проведения Турнира содержат 40 заданий. Задания раздела I (Section I Grammar), а также раздела II (Section II Reading) построены по принципу множественного выбора: участники Турнира должны выбрать 1 из предложенных вариантов ответов. В каждую позицию области ответов на задания вписывается буква (A, B, C, D), соответствующая выбранному варианту ответа, или X, если, по мнению участника Турнира, подходящего ответа нет. Оставлять позиции ответов пустыми нельзя! Исправления в листе ответов не допускаются! Все задания равноценны и оцениваются как 1 балл, соответственно максимальное количество ответов/баллов 40 баллов. 3 Bill had a small plane and he decided to teach the birds to follow him. All through the summer, he went on short trips in his plane and the young geese flew after him. When the cold weather arrived in autumn, Bill flew to Virginia in the United States, 600 miles south of his home in Canada. The geese followed him all the way. Bill left the geese in Virginia and he returned home. This spring, Bill was waiting for the birds to come back. They didn t arrive, so Bill flew to Virginia to get them. He looked for them for two weeks but he couldn t find them. When he arrived back home, Bill found the geese waiting for him. They had found their way home without him! 19. I need to see things in our other supermarkets. I also go to lots of meetings. My work hours change every week because Saver Mall is open 24 hours a day. Last week I worked from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. but this week I need to be at work from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first thing I do each day is check my s. Sometimes I go to different countries to check how supermarkets are doing. That s my favourite part of the job! But I like my work in London too. Travelling can be very hard work. Jamie has also opened the restaurant Fifteen in London. The name doesn t describe where the restaurant is it s because he chose this number of young people to become cooks there. Not one of them knew how to cook so Jamie sent them to college in the year before he opened the restaurant. They also visited other restaurants to learn more. Fifteen really started because of a conversation Jamie had with his wife s friend. She worked with difficult children and found that they always enjoyed cooking, so Jamie decided to start a restaurant business to help young people with problems. Jamie is at the restaurant five days a week but always spends weekends with his wife and children. He says he has never been happier and only wants to go on cooking. He works hard but pays himself nothing, because all the money is used to train new students every six months. Today, 85 people work at Fifteen, many more than when it first opened.
