1 LOOKING INTO THE FUTURE T2MIS TICKET TO LERNING MOBILITY IN SPORT E OSE has been investing in learning mobility for more than 3 years now. We were delighted to see that the Recommendations from the Feasibility Study conducted in 2013 were partly heard and that the 2016 call for proposal under Erasmus+ Sport Chapter included «Support to Mobility» as a topic. I t is therefore with a great pleasure that we are sharing the news with you: in 2017 EOSE will run a small collaborative partnership funded by the Sport Unit of the DG EC with the aim to help the sector to benefits from a culture of learning mobility. WE BELIEVE LL THOSE INVOLVED IN THE SECTOR SHOULD HVE CCESS TO LIFELONG LERNING MOBILITY EXPERIENCE WHETHER THEY RE REFEREE STUDENT N DMINISTRTOR VOLUNTEER 32 THLETE COCH

2 The final report of the Feasibility Study on Learning Mobility in Sport has indeed provided clear evidence of a considerable latent interest and demand from the sector (mainly due to low level of awareness of the opportunities offered by EU funded programmes) as well as many tracks for future cooperation. It is now in our hands, all of us, to explore these opportunities, create the conditions for sport to benefit more from them, to increase the level of take up in the sector, and to maximise the added value of learning mobility through and for the sector. Learning Mobility offers a unique platform of building substantial network of long-term contacts where ideas can be interchanged and discussed. s Head of this entity I strongly recommend other employers to engage in learning mobility experiences which are of great value to both employees and the company. 3 The T2MIS (Ticket to Mobility in Sport) Project is focussed on the Sport and ctive Leisure Sector and in particular on supporting learning mobility for managers, coaches, staff and volunteers of non for profit sport organisations in Europe. What do we mean by learning mobility? Learning mobility occurs when an individual moves to a country other than their country of residence, in order to undertake study, training or other learning, including traineeships and non-formal learning, or teaching or participating in a transnational professional development activity. The objective of such experiences is to allow individuals to acquire new skills that will strengthen their future employability as well as their personal development. This innovative tool that will be designed should provide a common entry point and a straight forward platform: - To highlight the benefits of learning mobility for individuals and organisations, - To differentiate and present all existing opportunities for the sport sector and provide information regarding criteria of eligibility, objectives and priorities, and - To provide quick access to some good practices and key documents. The project is funded under an Erasmus+ Sport Chapter - Small collaborative partnership and will last for 18 months (January 2017 to June 2018). - Jan 2017 : Logo and Graphic Charter - Jan to March 2017 : Set up of a methodology to turn the project idea into a pragmatic online platform - June to September 2017 : Elaboration of the v.0 - October 2017 to January 2018 : Pilot test of the tool - Jan to Feb 2018 : nalysis of the feedback and development of the v.1 - March 2018 : Official launch of the T2MIS online platform

4 The Project meets a real need s demonstrated by the Feasibility Study on learning mobility in sport -conducted in 2013 by EOSE- and its findings, there is a strong evidence and statement that: - Sport organisations appreciate the benefits that would flow to the sector from an enhanced level of mobility and exchange - Yet on the over side sport is suffering from a lack of awareness of the opportunities offered by the EU funded programmes as well as other available opportunities (e.g. national, regional and local levels) and the sector has only participated at a low level in the EU funded programmes (from previous Lifelong Learning Programme ) designed to make learning mobility a reality. The demand from the sport sector has therefore lain dormant partly because awareness levels of the opportunities offered by the EU funded programmes has been low and partly because sport has lacked the organisation and capacity to engage. The Project links with EU Priorities Learning mobility is a strongly established concept and has a central position in European policy. In developing a project based on supporting the mobility of stakeholders in the sport sector, EOSE and its partners are proposing an approach in line with the overall context of EU policies and in particular education and training policies as well as sport policies. Indeed the project aims to enable the sector to contribute effectively to key priorities in EU policies that are aimed at creating jobs, improving health, promoting social inclusion, re-generating the economy and improving sport itself and in particular the role of sport in education and training The Project will create an innovative centralised and self-guided online tool supporting mobility The aim will be through this T2MIS project to create the conditions for the sport sector to take part to mobility activities in designing and developing an online European Mobility Tool for the sport sector. The tool will aim at simplifying and clarifying the presentation of existing Learning Mobility funded opportunities and to raise the level of awareness of such opportunities within the sport sector. The tool will in particular gather information about relevant learning mobility opportunities available at different levels for the sport sector and to guide interested organisations / potential candidates to find information about the most relevant sub-programs/actions/opportunities adapted to their profile, willingness, and expectations. The project will produce real impact and legacy The T2MIS is a first step in a wider strategy whose overall objective is to create the conditions to support sport in accessing and implementing an enhanced level of quality learning mobility. On a longer term perspective it is anticipated that an increase level of mobility through the sector shall facilitate the transfer of knowledge and good practices needed to develop the skills of those acting in the sector. Such development will help at a time when expectations of the sector are rising with Governments aiming for improved levels of health through physical activity, for sport to be at the heart

5 of social integration and to improve the employability of young people through the education and personal development it offers. The project builds upon a strong partnership Finally, the 4 official partners including the applicant EOSE are representing various fragments of the overall sport sector: representative of employers and link with the EU Social Dialogue Committee (WOS, NL), a Higher Education Training Provider (MRU, LT), a national sport council (Sport Malta) and an EU umbrella organisation specialised in education and employment (EOSE). These partners were selected to ensure a balanced geographical coverage but also on the basis of their expertise, knowledge, interest and experience in developing and/or supporting mobility scheme.
