Before taking a course or embarking on a study abroad experience, students need to contact the Director of General Education for prior approval as well as for specific stipulations and requirements. Students who wish to use study abroad transfer credit for this requirement must submit their requests to the Director of General Education. Bachelor of Arts majors need ten (10) hours of one Modern Language (plus one (1) additional 3 hour course from one of the other areas. To meet this requirement, students will demonstrate proficiency at the 210: Language and Culture II level. Proficiency will be demonstrated by successfully completing a Modern Languages and Literatures course numbered 210 or above, for a minimum of three and a maximum of ten hours of language courses. International students for whom English is not their native language may meet the language requirement upon successful completion of EG 102: Comp II. Elementary and Secondary Education Majors choose either AN 210 or CW 301 and a course from one of the other areas. VII. Personal & Social Well-Being: Select two courses from those listed below: A. In most cases, students may satisfy both a core requirement and a major requirement with a single course.

7 Students can transfer an unlimited number of hours from a two-year institution. However, they will still be required to pass at least 60 hours from a four-year college and 30 of the final 45 must be at ESU to receive an ESU bachelor s degree.
