Therefore, semester rates are not listed for those schools. For schools that charge a semester rate, the PA 529 GSP Semester Rate is the sum of either 12 or 15 GSP Credits, depending on the actual rate set by the school. See footnote Contributions and payments made at this Tuition Level will be calculated using the current freshman rate. Payments at this Tuition Level are available only to those Beneficiaries who are enrolled at East Stroudsburg University. 4 In calculating the State-Related University Average, all state-related university Tuition Levels that were used in calculating the average for academic year were used; any Tuition Levels that were added in academic year or after were not included. 5 In order to be eligible for this credit rate, certain conditions apply as briefly described below. Please contact the school for more information. California: Active Military & Family (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reserves), veterans, and eligible dependents and spouses of active duty members enrolled in the Global Online Program. Cheney: Higher achieving out-of-state students. East Stroudsburg: High achieving domestic out-of-state students or transferring students. Minimum credit loads required. Edinboro: All newly enrolled (AY ) domestic out-of-state students. Indiana: International students with established academic agreements; freshmen or sophomore Pennsylvania students admitted to Northpointe or Punxsutawney campuses. Kutztown: Higher achieving domestic out-of-state students. Kutztown A: High achieving transfer and domestic out-of-state students. Lock Haven: High achieving domestic out-of-state students. Millersville: High achieving out-of-state and transfer students. Millersville A: Higher achieving out-of-state students. Millersville B: Domestic out-of-state freshmen entering fall Millersville C: Domestic out-of-state transfer students entering fall Shippensburg: Transfer students from specified Maryland community colleges; high achieving out-of-state students. Shippensburg A: Higher achieving out-of-state students or out-of-state students with STEM major; certain high achieving out-of-state transfer students entering fall Slippery Rock: High achieving freshmen, transferring, and returning students. Active military & Family (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard and Reserves) and spouses enrolled exclusively in undergraduate online programs. Lehigh-Carbon: Schuylkill County residents. Northampton County: Residents of Monroe County School District. Pennsylvania Highlands: Somerset County residents. 6 The rates for this tuition level are based on the average of freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior tuition charges for all programs of study except those for which separate tuition levels are specified. All payments from the GSP at this Tuition Level will be made at the average Actual Tuition of the class levels used in calculating the rates (Average) regardless of the academic status of the Beneficiary. For Beneficiaries at this Tuition Level who attend a private or out-of-state school, payment from the GSP will be made at the Average Actual Tuition rate Guaranteed Savings Plan Credit Rate Schedule
11 7 For all campuses, Category 1 programs of study include the Smeal College of Business. Additionally, the following programs of study at the indicated campuses are included: The Department of Business at Altoona, Berks and Other Campuses (including Abington), the School of Business at Erie; and Business Administration at Harrisburg and Schuylkill. For information on the specific majors in this category contact Pennsylvania State University. 8 For all campuses, Category 2 programs of study include the College of Engineering, the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, the Eberly College of Science, and the School of Information Sciences and Technology. Additionally, for the following campuses the indicated programs of study are included: at Other Campuses, the Department of Science; at Mont Alto, the Occupational Therapy program; at Erie, the School of Science, the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology; at Harrisburg, Science/ Engineering; and at Schuylkill, Science/Engineering. Accordingly, the GSP Credit Semester Rate is equal to the cost of 15 GSP Credits. This means that the equivalent of 15 GSP Credits are needed for a Beneficiary who takes between 12 and 18 academic credits using a GSP account at any of these schools. 18 This Tuition Level was added effective September 1, For contributions made before September 1, 2011, retroactive conversion to this new 19 This Tuition Level was added effective September 1, 2012 and comprises the School of Media and Communications and the Division of Theater, Film and Media Arts.
