The NCAN 18th National Conference will take place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center, 2800 Opryland Drive, Nashville, TN We have reserved a block of rooms at the rate of $179 plus tax and a mandatory $7.50 resort fee per night. To get the discounted room rate, reservations must be made by August 15, 2013 (but please book early to ensure availability of this low rate). We ve lowered our registration fee this year to 2011 rates! Registration provides attendees with conference materials and access to the Best Practices Gallery and Networking Reception; Workshops, Learning Community, and Training Sessions; and complimentary roundtrip shuttle service to downtown Nashville on Tuesday evening. The following meals are included with your registration fee: lunch on Monday and Tuesday, and a light breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday. Registration fees are as follows: Member Rate: $550 through August 15, $650 starting on August 16 Non-Member Rate: $650 through August 15, $750 starting on August 16 If you re planning to bring 5 or more individuals from one organization, take advantage of our new group discount and get $25 dollars off each registration. Stewart U.S. President, United Way Worldwide Stacey is responsible for leading 1,200 local and state United Ways in collective impact, strategic partnership development, diversity and inclusion, business model transformation, and policy and advocacy. Before becoming President, Stacey served as Executive Vice President for Community Impact Leadership and Learning, where she led the transformation of communities in the areas of education, financial stability and health. Prior to joining United Way Worldwide, Ms. Stewart held several positions at Fannie Mae, including Senior Vice President of Community and Charitable Giving and Chief Diversity Officer. Ms. Stewart was also President and Chief Executive Officer of the Fannie Mae Foundation. A C Wharton Mayor of the City of Memphis A C Wharton, Jr. was elected Mayor of Memphis in October Winning 61 percent of the overall vote, he became Memphis 63rd Mayor and its first new Mayor in 18 years. Mayor Wharton s vision is to align civic, commercial, and political leaders to move the Memphis economy forward and improve the quality of life for all residents. In every word and deed since taking office, he has called for the City of Memphis to celebrate its successes, honor its singular accomplishments, confront its challenges, and claim its place as a great American city. The Wharton administration and its partners have received national recognition for Memphis remarkable revitalization. The Mayor has focused specifically on new initiatives that dramatically increase jobs and capital investment, reduce crime, improve government efficiency and transparency, add more parks and green space to the core city, and improve public education for all children.
