Total GPA has all Grades levels. **10th grade is the 1st year grades are calculated into College GPA, but still need C s or higher in 9th grade classes to meet A-G requirements Other benefits! Dual and Concurrent Classes Scholarships Taking AP, IB,and college courses can increase your GPA (aka weighted)

7 What if I am struggling? Step 1: Convo with Teacher Do they accept late work? Can you make up tests? Do they offer tutoring? Step 2: Check your Student Portal on a regular basis. What assignments are you missing? Is it tests that you struggle with? How are you studying? Great Option on Campus: Talent Search!

View High School (16 or older) Grades Matter! Keep them up all year! *A-G Science requirements cannot be made up with Pearson.

14 HBCU Historical Black Colleges and University HBCUs are institutions of higher education that were established before the Civil Rights Act of 1964 with the intentions of primarily severing the African-American Community. The HBCU Common App is one application that allows you to apply to 42 different HBCU

15 Other Postsecondary Options Private/Out of State Admission requirements, application process, tuition and fees vary. Use Common App and the Colleges websites for applications. Programs include: Bachelors of Arts/Science and credentials Masters and Doctorate Trade/Vocational Schools Visit each school's website for admission requirements and application information. Tuition and fees vary, can range from mid-high. Always check accreditation Programs include: Associate s and Bachelor s Degree Licenses and certifications
