14 International Baccalaureate What sets IB courses apart? IB courses often with respect to curriculum topics. connect together IB courses are noted for their writing across the curriculum as well as class presentations. IB students must develop their own ideas in their writing and presentations as well as through class discussion. IB science students develop and conduct their own laboratory experiments. IB math students write a math paper. All IB courses possess an international education component. IB students are required to register and take the IB assessments/exams.

My whole outlook on life has changed, and the way I approach things has become more skeptical. I don't accept every single word my professors say, and I try to check validity in information as well as listen to all perspectives of different topics. In so much of our education, short-term thinking and grades are seen as most important. So much so, that often our skills, which will help us in the longer term, are left almost untouched..
