2 OUR MISSION Serving coaches, athletes, parents and state athletic associations providing resources, outreach and education to achieve a girls wrestling division and state championship.
3 NOW IS THE TIME We can t continue to be comfortable with girls wrestling boys. It s time our adolescent boys do not have to compete against girls. States with small numbers (100+) of girls are creating girls only programs. We don t have enough girls doesn t cut it anymore. Girls Wrestling Grows the Sport of Wrestling for Everyone

11 Freestyle vs Folkstyle We should not be hesitant to have the discussion about freestyle. 1. Ideal would be a smooth progress from high school to college, i.e. girls should have the same compatible opportunities as the boys. 2. We want our wrestling committees and especially our state scholastics organizations to understand the pathway for girls is not without style challenges. How do we find a Middle Ground to provide equitable opportunities for girls wrestling folkstyle in high school? 1. Can we begin to change rules (neutral start/step out rule) to support the pathway for girls? 2. Can this bridge be acceptable/easily adaptable for the current high school coaches and officials?
