IMPORTANT DATES All enrollment will be done online this year. Monday, February 19th: You will be able to access Skyward and enroll in your elective choices Tuesday, February 27th: Skyward enrollment options will close Class schedules for next year will be posted on Skyward during the summer If you do not have computer access, please see Mr. Suchan or Mrs. Moore for paper enrollment forms.
February 2nd-February 27th School website will have enrollment booklet online. Discuss booklet and different class options with parents. Decide which electives you would like to take. Keep in mind, you may not get into an elective you sign up for. You must enter alternate elective classes into Skyward; otherwise, we might have to place you in an elective that we choose.
February 19th Skyward will open to enrollment for next year. Log-in to Skyward, and choose schedule tab on the left. In the upper right-hand corner, click the link that says Request courses for future scheduling 2018-2019 Select your elective choices Select alternative elective choices in case your first options aren t available! If you don t choose alternates and one of your first-choice electives is full, we will simply place you in an open elective of our choosing.
February 27th Skyward will close the future scheduling link Make sure you have selected your elective choices by Tuesday, February 27th.

MATH, READING, & HISTORY Your math and reading placement are largely determined by your teacher, but please voice your questions/concerns. Improvement/Regular/Advanced Counselors place you based on teacher recommendation which is based on many factors (work ethic, grades, ACT, State Test, etc). YEARBOOK This class requires an application. Filling out an application does NOT guarantee a spot. This class is very fun but takes a responsible student who can meet deadlines. Please consider this before enrolling. It is a year-long course and will take 2 elective spots.
NEWSPAPER MSMS does have a small newspaper staff that meets during Encor only. If you are interested, please see Ms. Dillon or Ms. Markham. The Yearbook/Newspaper application is the same. This will not impact your elective choices since it s during Encor only.
AIDES (TEACHER, OFFICE, & PE) One semester Teachers can only have one aide per day (two per year) You must be in academic & behavioral good standing very responsible & trustworthy This is a privilege & you re expected to work Selections will be made by administration This is not study hall!
AIDES (TEACHER, OFFICE, & PE) Online process TA will NOT be an elective option online. You will simply enroll in three OTHER electives. If you end up being a TA for a teacher, we will go back in and change it for you.
SPORTS TEAMS AND CLUBS We offer the following sports teams at MSMS Tennis, Basketball, Football, Track, Cross Country, Wrestling, Volleyball, Cheerleading Clubs Drive in Fall 2018: SADD(Students Against Destructive Decisions), StuCo, KAY, Math Counts, Science Olympiad, Let s Move Students must have passing grades at the end of 6 th grade to be eligible to play sports. Students must have a physical on file with the school from a doctor.
CONCERNS/QUESTIONS What questions do students have about enrollment? Do my grades in 7 th grade matter for sports in August? Do I need a physical?
