No. 15/96) MADURAI, INDIA NARRATIVE REPORT JANUARY TO MARCH 2018 OUR MISSION: Our mission is to create a better world through education and service in the realms of human life and environment. OUR VISSION: Our vision is to provide new horizons and open avenues to the under privileged and deprived people of our society to live with dignity and selfrespect. ACTIVITIES OF SEVAI SOCIETY: The SEVAI SOCIETY is working for the welfare of the poor people by running Schools, Children Hostel, Home for the Aged and Skill training centre. We also work for Environmental protection. The donations received from the funding agencies are used for various projects.
HALLELUAH CHILDREN HOSTEL, MADURAI: Our Founder Fr Dr S Ignaci Muthu SJ had come to the CHILDREN HOSTEL & blessed the students on 05.01.2018. On 06.01.2018 Dr Markus Merk & his Team from Germany had come & visited the Hostel and Xavier Matriculation Hr Sec School. On that day we celebrated with them. They were very happy to see all our work in Xavier School & children Hostel. Dr Markus Merk & his Team from Germany had come & visited the Hostel on 06.01.2018 On 20.01.2018 the students enjoyed their weekend by playing outdoor games. The students also played the indoor games like Carrom, Chess on 21.01.2018 Students are enjoying their weekend by playing Indoor & outdoor games
The III rd Mid-term Test started on 08.02.2018 for I IX th Std students. On 14.02.2018 VII th VIII th std students played outdoor games like shuttlecock, ring Ball. From 19.02.2018 to 21.02.2018 X th - XII th std students had their Government Public Practical Examination. On 27.02.2018 we purchased new dining Table for Students. The students are very happy and feel comfortable. Students are very happy and feel comfortable while eating. On 01.03.2018 our XII th Std students started their Government Public Examination. Our XI th std students started their Government Public Examination on 07.03.2018. They were busy with their studies. Our VI th XII th Std students participated in the Quiz Competition on 17.03.2018. XAVIER MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL, MADURAI After Christmas Vacations, the classes began on 03.01.2018. Parent Teachers Meet was held on 04.01.2018. Parents are very happy with the School Activities to improve their children s skills & their development. On 12.01.2018 Pongal festival was celebrated as Tamilar Thirunal in a grand manner. We cooked Pongal and distributed to all the Students. Pongal festival was celebrated on 12.01.2018 The voters day was celebrated in our school premises by taking oath. Essay writing and drawing competitions were conducted for std XI & XII on 25.01.2018. 69th Republic Day was celebrated on 26.01.2018. On that day Cultural programs and fancy dress competitions were conducted.
69th Republic Day was celebrated on 26.01.2018 Innovation in Science pursuit for inspired Research (INSPIRE) INTERNSHIP SCIENCE CAMP was held at American College on 07.02.2018. In that camp R. Lokitha XI th std had participated and received the certificate. On 19.02.2018 62 nd Tamil Nadu state Open Yoga Sports Championship 2018 was organised by Thirunelveli District Yoga Sports Development Association at Kadayanallur. Our students participated & received Certificates and Shields. On 03.03.2018, 22 nd Year School Annual Day & Annual Sports Day were celebrated. Honourable Chief Guest Mr. R.K. Durai Singh M.A., Regional Senior Manager, Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu addressed the gathering and distributed the Medals, Shields and Certificates to the Prize winners. Various cultural Programmes like Bharatham, Yoga, MIME, Kids Dance, fusion, Drama, and Social Messages were performed. 22 nd Year School Annual Day is celebrated on 03.03.2018
22 nd Year School Annual Sports Day was celebrated on 03.03.2018 On 01.03.2018 our XII th Std students started their Government Public Examination. Our XI th Std students started their Government Public Examination on 07.03.2018. They were busy with their studies. BENEDICT MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL, THENI Dr Markus Merk & his Team from Germany visited our school on 05.01.2018. Students performed our traditional dance activities such as yoga, karate, silambum etc. They wondered and collected some details about our traditions and our learning and teaching methods. The Harvest Festival Pongal was celebrated on 12.01.2018 in a grand manner in our school. Special Competitions were arranged especially for all the Mothers of our students. Nearly 400 Parents eagerly participated in the events such as Rhymes with kids, Doing face makeup Mehanthi & Pongal Preparation and the winners were awarded by our correspondent. On 26.01.2018, the Republic Day was celebrated patriotically. On 18.02.2018 District Level yoga competition was conducted in our school campus. Many of the students from various schools participated in that competition. We are always concerned about the health of our students. Every year above five years old students are given polio drops on 20.02.2018 in order to protect them
from various Polio Attacks. On 21.02.2018 our School s 13 th Annual day was celebrated joyfully. Students should know the laws and activities as they happen in the court. So we arranged visit to the district court, Theni for the higher class students on 21.03.2018. On 24.03.2018 MAZE @ FIND THE WAY a new game was inaugurated to improve the memory power, self confidence of the students. When the students enter they will be closed and they have to find their won way to come out again in the other end. When they are moving that will give them the confidence that they will be able to tackle any problem in their life.
BENEDICT CHILDREN HOSTEL, THENI On 17.03.2018, Hostel day was celebrated in our school. In that celebration, our hostel students exhibited their skills in that function. All the students were very happy to stay & study in the school. MARY MATHA PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOL, TRICHY: Dr Markus Merk & his Team from Germany visited our school on 07.01.2018. Students performed a small cultural program for them. They are very happy with School activities & infrastructure. Dr Markus Merk & his Team from Germany visited our school on 07.01.2018 On 26.01.2018 Republic Day was celebrated. School Headmaster hoisted the flag on that day.
In our School Tamil forum was started on 19.02.2018. On that day, exposure to the skills of Tamilar students was performed with Tamil poems, dance and debate. On 26.02.2018 deworming Day was conducted. A Group of Doctors & Nurses came & checked up the students Health & gave tablets from the Government Hospital. Tamil forum was started on 19.02.2018. On 26.02.2018 deworming Day was conducted in our School. Parents Teachers Meet was held on 10.03.2018. Parents are very happy with the School Activities. Farewell was celebrated on 10.03.2018 for X th Std Students. X th Std Students started their Government Public Examination on 16.03.2018. They were busy with their studies.
WENDALINUM CHILDREN HOME, TRICHY Dr Markus Merk & his Team from Germany visited our school Hostel on 07.01.2018. Our Hostel students have performed the Yoga infront of them. They were very happy to see the Hostel s Progress & Students Safety Methodology. Dr Markus Merk & his Team from Germany visited our school Hostel On 21.01.2018 students enjoyed their weekends to play games inside the Hostel. Students are very happy to stay here & study in this School. Children are playing in the evening time at Wendalinum Home
MID DAY MEAL PROGRAM AT MARY MATHA SCHOOL, TRICHY: On 17.01.2018 Midday meals with eggs were served to the students. All our Students are enjoying their food. The parents and students are thankful to the sponsors for this project. On 23.03.2018 Pongal with Banana was served to the students. MOTHER MARY HOME FOR THE AGED, T. SINDALACHERRY, THENI: There are 30 elderly inmates presently staying and benefiting from this home. They are very happy and feel peaceful to receive support from our home. Dr Markus Merk & his Team from Germany visited our home for the aged on 05.01.2018 and took lunch with the people. They were very happy to spend time with the elders.
MOTHER THERESA SKILL TRAINING CENTRE, T. SINDALAICHERRY, THENI: There are 15 women coming for tailoring coaching from nearby villages. They are getting enough training and more experience from this centre. St.MOTHER THERESA INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL, T. SINDALAICHERRY, THENI: There are 5 students studying in this Industrial School. On 26.01.2018 Independence Day was celebrated. Industrial School Principal hoisted the flag on the day. On 02.03.2018 students went to Inplant training in the Industries & companies.
EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE: Our beneficiaries are studying well. We have received the fund from the Donors & have given to the students in Madurai & Trichy and the surrounding places. There are 39 Students who are benefitting from our Educational Assistance Project during the 2017-2018 academic year. They are very happy for this Educational Assistance from us.
