Active & ClubSport ClubSport is an organisation managed by volunteers from affiliated member clubs. The aim of ClubSport is to enhance and develop the investment and support to local clubs, coaches and volunteers. ClubSport is supported by Active and their team of Sport Development Officers, and together, we ensure that local clubs, their coaches and volunteers receive the necessary direction and guidance to become stronger and more sustainable. One of the key priorities of the work done by Active and ClubSport is to develop local coaches. After all, the quality of opportunities for local people will depend heavily on the quality of the people delivering it within schools, clubs and the community. Active & ClubSport have produced the following coach education brochure that offers courses, information and guidance in a number of areas related to the development of your coaching skills both generically and in relation to your chosen sport. There is also information on how financial support can be given to local coaches in order to help them access coach education courses. So why not come along, enjoy the experience and develop your expertise. If you are looking for a course that is not listed please contact us as additional courses can be run on demand. 3

Coaching Pathway Coaching and Coach Development is at the forefront of Active s strategy. The following diagram shows the development pathway for local coaches and Active coaches. 4
