Pre-Enrollment Forms AND Free and Reduced Lunch Forms Due MONDAY, FEB. 15th Why Free and Reduced Lunch Forms? 1. Qualify for fee waivers for SAT / ACT 2. Qualify for fee waiver for college application 3. Qualify for fee waiver for NCAA or NAIA

Remember, these are requests. These requests are used to make the Master Schedule. If there are not at least 10 students requesting a class, it will not make. That s why your alternate choices are very important. Please understand, if you request an AP class and it makes, but then you decide it s to difficult ------- your schedule will NOT be changed. Make your choices carefully!!!!

What if I m interested in the Student Personalized Learning Campus?

Student PLC at CHS. Personalized Learning Campus Path, Time, Pace, Place.. Campus option available for the 2016-17 school year.

The Basics: Technology provided to remove the constraints of a traditional classroom. High quality, rigorous course work through a blended learning model of traditional curriculum, as well as digital curriculum. Options for Vo-tech programs, concurrent enrollment, all CHS electives and specialty classes.

Site Specifics: Site hours: 7AM to 5PM Students log 6.5 hours each day. Teachers and tutors in every classroom for every core content area. Students earn a minimum of one credit per month. Assemblies to celebrate student successes, establish expectations, and foster an environment of achievement. Transcripts are provided monthly to allow parents and students to monitor progress. Weekly meetings with a mentor teacher to ensure academic goals are on track.

Instruction: Self-paced to allow students to progress through curriculum already mastered, and move at a slower pace on more difficult curriculum requiring additional time or individual instruction. Immediate enrollment in additional classes upon completion of the current course enrollment. Cooperative learning groups, project-based learning, independent work

Myths: This is not a virtual school. Attendance is required. There is no minimum ACT score or GPA to enroll in the program. Students are still a part of CHS extra-curricular programs, including ag, band, vocal music, drama, art, and athletics. Students will still participate in school-wide assemblies, such as pep assemblies and homecomings. All grade levels can apply for this opportunity. It is not specifically for juniors and seniors.

Application Process The link to online applications open on Feb. 11 at 3:00 PM. Applications will be accepted through Monday, Feb. 15 at 3:00PM. Students must submit a free/reduced lunch form by Feb. 15 to be considered. The school media center will be open from 3-7 on Thursday, Feb. 11 and 8-11 on Friday, Feb. 12.
