Week II Psalter. 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time. Deuteronomy 4:1-2, 6-8. Psalm 14(15):2-5. James 1:17-18, 21-22, 27. Mark 7:1-8, 14-15, 21-23. The just will live in the presence of the Lord Psalm 14(15):2-5. Jesus insists that true religion is of the spirit. NO SCHOOL FRIDAY, 7 SEPTEMBER due to curriculum day. Outward observance without conversion of heart is useless and, at its worst, hypocrisy. On the other hand, the spiritual heart will show itself in outward observance; for our Lord, who told us that the Father looks for those who worship in spirit and in truth, also said, If you love me, keep my commandments do good fast pray give alms. We need to regularly review often our lives to see that there is a genuine harmony between our inmost heart and our visible manner of acting. As St James says, faith without works is dead.

Walk or Ride To School Tuesday 18 th September 2018! Students are encouraged to walk or ride to school on this day and we ask parents to walk alongside your child to school to ensure they are safe. Each month students will be encouraged to ride or walk to school (on a set day) and Bike Ambassadors (students) in our school collect data telling us how many students rode or walked on that day. We then enter the data with Bike Victoria and they monitor our active travel rate. Students who ride are given a sticker and the class who has the most students riding or walking get to keep our Ride to School trophy in their classroom for that month. Students can ride bikes, ride scooters or walk. Students must wear a helmet at all times. Upon arrival at school, students must hop off their bike or scooter and lock up their bike or scooter in our bike parking OSHC Reminder that there will be no school on Friday, 7 September.
