SCHOOL ATTENDANCE Year Group Attendance Attendance weekly percentage Lateness after 8.55am R Starfish 90.6% All on time! Y1 Dolphins 95.9% 1 Y2 Seahorses 90.2% All on time! Y3 Turtles 95% 2 Y4/5 Owls 98.8% 1 Y4/5 Penguins 97% All on time! Y4/5 Toucans 97.7% 1 Y6 Eagles 99% All on time! Total 95.4% 5 WELL DONE, Eagles! Please note that the morning register is taken at 8.55am and all pupils are expected to be in class ready for their lessons by that time. Any arrivals to school after this time are marked as late. Persistent absence and lateness to school reduces your child s chances to become a successful learner and causes disruption to their own and other children s learning. Hopefully, by bringing this to your attention, we shall be able to raise the high standards of our school attendance to an outstanding level and reduce the level of lateness to school to none. Please remember that holiday taken during term time cannot be authorised and a few families have been fined by East Sussex County Council. PLEASE NOTE THAT LOW ATTENDANCE IN SCHOOL CAN AFFECT AN OFSTED INSPECTION GRADING!
