To have an effect on student learning we really focus on having high expectations, assisting students to respond to intervention, provide feedback and have a strong teacher efficacy (effectiveness). All decisions made by teachers and the staff are to provide the best outcomes and ensure that we consider what will be the best for the students. At times, our community members raise concerns and question our actions. We consider all feedback but we also desire to gain compliments about what we are offering. Every day, we complement your students for their dedication, decision making and their efforts. Teachers and staff are always happy to hear compliments about the many wonderful opportunities offered to your students and we encourage you to give a compliment over the next few weeks about how our school is supporting your child. PARENT OPINION SURVEY Last week a letter came home about the parent opinion survey. The survey is now open and is accessible by the allocated code until Sunday 26th August. It should take around 15 minutes to complete. Please take the time to respond to the survey questions and influence what happens at your child s school. All responses are anonymous and now that the survey is electronic, results will be back very quickly. The survey is specific to only the Snake Valley campus and about all of your children who are attending school. We are hoping for at least 50% of families to respond. If you have any questions about the survey or would like to complete the survey using the school s technology, please see any staff member.

Since the program began there have many been changes in technologies and opportunities for creating quality learning experiences have increased. We understand that over the years, a number of the secondary schools our students graduate to, have changed the device types students are required to bring to school. As a primary school it is hard to cater for all secondary school devices with our current program. Our main focus for any teaching and learning area within our school is the curriculum and what skills the students require. Given this, we feel the time is right to look to our community for feedback on the program and how it is organised. Below are a web address and QR code. Both link to a 10 question survey addressing the structure of our program. I look forward to reading your responses. Kind regards, Leigh Snibson, Digital Technologies Teacher, elearning Coordinator https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/yxkbqky
