On behalf of the Management, the Principal, and the members of teaching and non-teaching faculty and the students, I heartily welcome our honorable Chief Guest Captain Vishal Roy, Commanding Officer, INS Parundu, Uchipuli, Alhaj Khalid A K Buhari Secretary, Seethakathi Trust, Chennai. I take this privilege to acknowledge the presence of our founder s beloved daughter Mrs Qurrath Jameela, I welcome the Principal, Deputy General Manager, Staff, Students, Press and Media and all the members on and off the Dias. On this joyous occasion, I would like to present the 28 th Sports Day Report

from the department of Physical Education of our college for the year 2015-2016. I praise the Almighty for having showered his blessings in all our endeavors during this academic year. The students of our institution are divided into 6 groups namely Ayesha, Kadhija, Mariam, Muthu Zulaiha, Ameena & Fathima. The intramural programme for this academic year commenced in the month of Dec 2016. The various sporting events like Badminton, Ball Badminton, Kho-Kho, Hand ball, Kabaddi, Throw ball, Volley ball, Tennikoit, Indoor games like Table Tennis, Carrom & chess. Track & field events like 100mts, 200mts, 400mts, 1500mts, 4x100mts relay, long jump, shot-put, discuss, javelin throw, hammer throw were conducted. The participated students were exposed their ability of participating in sports and the winners of these games proved a sense of proud as sportswoman. The students faced both victory and defeat bravely. They wait with fierce determination to establish themselves next time. I convey my wishes and accolades to all the participants and winners of various competitions. I am glad to mention some of the note worthy events at this moment Out of 5 students,s.hassana Banu of III B Sc Microbiology and P.Praveenal III BA English won the third place in Carrom Doubles in the Ramanathapuram 14 th District Level Carrom Competition-2016 held at Saagasam Sports Club,Om Sakthi Nagar Ramanathapuram on 23 rd July 2016. The Ramanathapuram 11 th District Level Yoga Competition-2016 conducted at National Academy School Ramanathapuram on 23 rd July 2016. Grace Sangeetha III B Sc Maths participated in the Alagappa University Intercollegiate Chess Tournament held at P.T.M.T.M.College, Kamuthi on 29 th Sep 2016.

M. Benazir Fathima of II BSc Maths participated in the South Zone Inter University Chess Tournament held at VELS Tech University, Chennai from 8 th October 2016 to 11 th october 2016. M. Pavithra, I B Com and M. Shanmuga Priya, I B Com won the III Place and received a cash award of 1000/- in the District Level Beach Volley Ball Competitions held at Ariyaman Beach Mandapam, Ramanathapuram on 19 th October 2016. They won the III place and received a cash award of `.1000/- In the 54 th State Level Yoga -2016 held at Mohamed Sathak Dastagir Matric. Hr. Sec. The following students won the Trophy in Alagappa University Intercollegiate Table Tennis Tournament organized by TBAK College for Women, Kilakarai on 17 th December 2016. South Zone Inter University Table Tennis Coach Camp organized in our college from 21 st to 28 th Dec 2016. From 29 th December 2016 to 2 nd January 2017, South Zone Inter University Table Tennis Tournament held at Kongunadu College of Engineering & Tech, Namakkal Organised by Anna University Sports Board, Chennai. In this tournament P.Yuva Sungari of III B Sc Chemistry and M. Sangeetha of III B Sc Maths participated.

In the 23 rd International Yoga Festival held at Puduchery from 4 th to 7 th January 2017, the following students participated and won the prizes. C. Kamachi III BSC IT won the (Consolation prize) M.
