Term 2 Year One students with the help from Caitlin, Jaxon, Coopa and Erin spent the morning making ANZAC biscuits. As part of the Victorian Curriculum for Technology, Year One students were given the opportunity to explore the tools, equipment and techniques used to prepare food safely and hygienically for healthy eating. Students had heaps of fun, making, baking, cleaning and in particular eating the biscuits. Children were excited to see each other and played a lot of role playing games. We made kites, collecting our own sticks to use as a frame and children cut out wonderful shapes. It was a windy day so the kites flew magnificently. Lego and mobile were used and some amazing creations were made while others extended on their already existing creations. Outdoors we played lots of fun games on the netball courts- farmer Sam, sleeping giants, we used the gymnastic mats in a variety of ways- made forts, gymnastics, high jump and flips. Children played in the sandpit with the animals and children even began spreading the mulch around the playground-great job! Before and after school hours care is a child safe service. Mrs B from Pyalong will be in attendance. Students will need to be at the complex no later than 9.30am. PARENTS CLUB NEWS Lancefield Farmers Market We have been given the very last minute opportunity to run the Community BBQ THIS SATURDAY (9am-1pm), a very busy and great opportunity to do some fundraising. We could do with some more volunteers, even if you're only able to drop by to give our volunteers a coffee/ toilet break. Please let me know ASAP if you can help out.
