Students can earn high school credit for high school courses taken in middle school, if they pass both semesters and the final exam. Some examples of these courses are foreign language courses, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Students must PASS the FINAL EXAM in order to receive credit for these classes. Applicable Middle school courses appear on the high school transcript and are factored into the cumulative grade point average.
Students have the option of repeating a course taken in MS for HS credit in order to have the MS course and grade removed from the transcript. The higher grade will remain on the transcript. The grade will only appear ONCE on the transcript. 9th grade is the best year to repeat a course taken in middle school.
