Judi, Grade 11 For my CAS activities - creativity, action and services -, I have chosen activities that are challenging and that would help me develop my skills and persona. I attempt to perform a balanced amount of each category. In the initiation of the creativity section, I have been drawing and painting different images using various tools and medias. I have also been looking at different art developments. This has lent me great insight into my artistic capabilities thus far, as well as helping me develop my artistic skills. I hope to improve these even more, such as being able to use different tools and paints such as watercolours, oils, pastels, ink, hot wax, acrylics and many others that I would like to become familiar with. 2 Parent Bulletin 8 December 2017

For half an hour, they filled the First Floor Foyer with festive music and songs, some sung in Swedish, other pieces such as Leonard Cohen s Hallelujah sung in English. Of course, when the singers started up with We Wish You a Merry Christmas, all our Early Learning and Elementary students joined in and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We are looking forward to another visit by the St Lucia Singers next year. University and Career Guidance Counselling (Grades 9-12) PSAT All of Grade 10 should have received their PSAT score reports by now. The score report states what they have achieved in each section (Evidenced-Based Reading and Writing, as well as Maths). It also states where they are, in relation to the mean score. This should give both parents and students an idea of what areas they excel in but also which areas they need to work on further. Grade 12 If any students are applying to UK or US colleges, they need to have requested all relevant documentation, and recommendations, before the end of next week. Students were previously asked to give teachers three weeks to write recommendations, however a number still have not done so. This means that these recommendations cannot be counted on. If students have made requests previously, rest assured that these recommendations will be written before the set deadlines. DEADLINES, FAIRS + TESTS Step One Tests - Reminder Do remember that Step One tests will be conducted in the Exam Room this coming Monday, 11 December. They will begin promptly at 8.10am. ALL students must be on time. The test will run until approximately lunchtime and students will eat their snack as normal. The Results of This Week The individual House Points have been flooding in all week and are making for a very interesting competition. With the and the Elementary Handball tournament on 13 December, the standings might change again! The Elementary Quiz was also a big success with some VERY impressive scoring from all Houses!
