P A G E 3 Joseph Jiang Joseph exemplifies the Perseverance trait of The Knight s Code. Joseph is everything you want in an addition to a class. He works hard, brings humor and works well with all his peers. He has lively and appropriate antics and is always prepared for class. Joseph is extremely well rounded, but will never rub it in his classmates face. Car nisha Caver Carnisha exemplifies the Courage trait of The Knight s Code. Carnisha found money in the school and brought it to the AP office. It takes courage today to make the right choices and fight the temptation to do something that is not right. This school is a better place because of amazing students like Carnisha! Hala Barnhardt Hala Barnhardt exemplifies the Service trait of The Knight s Code. Hala is the pinnacle of service. She serves as a constant inspiration to her peers on a daily basis. There is no one in this school that can match her devotion to her peers and her humility in the face of praise. Whenever she speaks, it is to instruct others to act at the same standard to which she holds herself. Whenever she acts, it is to serve those around her.

P A G E 4 Katie Cohen Katie exemplifies the Unity trait of The Knight s Code by ALWAYS spreading her joy & happiness throughout the hallways. Her smile has the ability to change others, and she constantly unites us all with her contagious positivity. Independence would not be as joyous without her. Brandon Thompson Brandon has exemplifies the Loyalty trait by how he acts and in all that he does. In doing school work he always turns it in on time and when absent always obeying the teacher by turning in all missing work. He always helps those that ask for help and for those that don't ask. Watching him inspires me to help be more loyal to my teacher and to others around me. Delancy Walker Delancy displays the Integrity trait of The Knight s Code. I have thoroughly enjoyed having Delancy as a student this year because she "gets it". She understands what is expected of her at school, and she often surpasses my expectations. In addition to being an excellent student, Delancy is also looking towards her future. She is very career-driven and isn't shy about taking advantage of opportunities we have at IHS for career readiness and experience. I really appreciate Delancy's ability to constantly look towards her future and not just live in the now. It is truly inspiring!
