We are happy to inform the success of the following students in various inter school and intra school competitions. Our school won two awards in the Intach Filmit competition held at Sankara Vidyashram, Tiruvanmiyur. They won under the category- Best Story and Best Unique Story. Neeraja Karpagam.B and Harithaa.S both from class VII B were part of this Intach Filmit Team. Vanishree.C of VII A and Neeraja Karpagam.B of VII B have won second prize in a Quiz Competition on Vivekananda conducted by Ramakrishna Mission on 2nd February 2018. Aakash.R and Sai Vignesh.K.Bharadwaj of Class VII A took part in Maths Talent Test on 16 th February 2018 at P S Senior Secondary School.
Language Day was celebrated on 21st in which students rendered speeches in Tamil and Hindi. There was a drama followed by a song in Tamil. There was a PowerPoint presentation as well. In the Month of January IEO ( International English Olympiad ) was conducted in which Dhruv Jaikanth has won Silver medal and Sai Vignesh.K.Bharadwaj has won Bronze medal. In Science Intra school competition Swetha.B, Jayakaran.P, Balakumar.B.A, and Yagashree.B have won second prize.
In the Intra School Drawing Competition the prize winners Vivek.J & Navaneeth.T has won the first prize Vikranthvel.S.P & Vismita.K got the second prize Vishnu.A has won the third prize. Muthuram.R, Sowmya.V & Prajaitha Pooja.V got the consolation prize. In the Intra School Hindi story writing competition II Language Vishwajith.S has won third prize and Sai Vignesh.K.Bharadwaj has won Consolation prize. In Hindi Essay writing competition III language Jayashree.R.S, Smriti.S has won second prize, Bhaskaran.B and Vanishree.C have won third prize, Nirupa.V.P and Venkataalakshmi.M.K, Aswath Kiran.S have won consolation prize. In Intra school music competition Jayashree.R.S has won second prize, Bhaskaran.B has won third prize Niranjana.V has won consolation prize.
The National Science Day was celebrated on 22 nd of February Classes VII and VIII were the audience for the same. A few students from VIII were part of the celebrations. It included a speech, followed by a prayer song, and a PowerPoint presentation. The chief guest for the occasion was Dr.M.L.Raja, an ophthalmologist from Pondicherry. His presentation was about the valuable contribution of Indians in the field of science which formed the foundation of various research work of the present. His speech about different scientific aspects was very enlightening and enriching. Some students of middle school demonstrated simple experiments to explain the different scientific facts which were well received by all.
Department of Mathematics of our School organized Book Cover Designing competition on 13 th February. The First prize was won by Mridula.SSV, Smriti.S and Sri Shiva Shankari.N. The Second prize was secured by Shruthi Srinivasan, Kavya.S and Thanuja.J. The Third prize was backed by Chathurvita.S.K, Loga Priyadarshini.P and Shivani.S. The consolation prize was awarded to Devaraj.M, Muthuraam.R and Navaneeth.T, Aishwarya.V, Kanishka.M and Shriya.P The Intra School Social Science competition on Conservation of Resources was held on 22 nd of this month. The Intra school English Intra School Competition results were announced. Shriya.P of class VII A won consolation prize in the Music Competition conducted by Karnataka Sangam on 12 th January 2018.
In the sports section we are proud to inform the commendable achievements in various events. Sai Vignesh.K.Bharadwaj of Class VII A has won 3 rd prize in Scrabble Tournament held at National Public School on 10 th February 2018. On 1st February 2018 Dhinesh Karthik.U.S and Gurumithran.M took part in PC Sekar Cricket Tournament for under 14 category held at St. Bedes school playground. We are proud to see a very promising chess player in Janasurya.P,S of class VII A who has played a commendable chess game, h Placed 12 th in the 1 st District Level Chess Tournament at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Placed 12 th in Thirumal Chess Academy State Level Children's Tournament. Placed 15 th in 2 nd Vishwaksena State Level Chess Championship.
It was a day out for the students of class VII A, B and C from their daily routine as they went on a field trip which was organised on 7 th February 2018. They visited a Jam manufacturing factory unit named Mega Foods located at Ambattur this visit was followed by a halt at a recreational spot at Royal Club Resort in Melayanampakkam. students and explained the processes of jam making. At the end of the session the students were served with fresh hot yummy jam. It was indeed a mouth watering experience. The visit to the Jam factory was very informative where the students were explained the processes involved in making jam. Mr. Amit Vaishnav, CEO, Mega Foods interacted with the
Students of class VII A, B and C did their Special Assembly on topic Water on 15 th February 2018 VII A students coined synonyms words from different languages and sang a song and performed a dance. Students also spoke about the various aspects of water. The highlight of the assembly was conservation of water. Students with the help of charts explained the Technique of Rainwater Harvesting. This was followed by dance where students danced for a Hindi Song based on conservation of water. Thank you to one and all.
