Bi-Annual Report- I (April- September, 2012) Dear Parents It is my privilege and pleasure to update you with the developments and happenings in our school. I take this opportunity to thank each one of you for your whole hearted support during the last academic year. Last academic year was the year of many fold blessings. It is the reflection of our activities, growth and achievements in the academics, cultural and co-curricular activities of our first term. I quote We would live to study, and not study to live. Francis Bacon. New dimensions are added to education owing to the advent of new social order that attributed to globalisation. The ever advancing computer technology to Robotics and changing values in every sphere of life. The stress is shifted from teaching to learning. The teacher s role is rather widened from teacher to facilitator; from being head of wisdom to moderator. With this thought the school agenda should facilitate the new emerging alternatives placing atop human excellence with values as key to objectives. The student is no more a taught but a learner who ought to learn more from different sources and experiences other than from his teacher. It is the new challenge to the teachers. This challenge is to help students to be leaders and entrepreneurs, innovators, information workers, logical thinkers with communication skills. The NCERT, CBSE and other National Agencies of Education with the involvement of Educationalists promptly debated for a suitable measures and to reform the present examination system i.e CCE(Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation), assessment and evaluation methodology and syllabi only to draw positive conclusion from the performance of students without surrogating a few with a brand of incapable and lifetime unproductives. Let us work together to bring about positive changes and inculcate good values and habits in our young minds. I look forward for your creative criticism and co-operation.
