Streetgames Activator Workshops dodgeball CoST: 30 ROUNdERS CoST: 30 All StreetGames Activator Workshops are 3 hours in duration & all participants must be 16 or over. activator workshops provide community sports & youth workers with the skills to introduce new activities to the groups they work with. The workshops draw on the principles of teaching games for understanding, & they provide numerous activities to enable coaches to interact with the young people & understand their motivations. Provides learners aged 17+ with an introduction to the processes & principles of supporting child through multi-skills. sport & mental health THeory CoST: 40 sport & mental health is a 3-hour workshop designed to give you the practical tools to help you better support those of us with mental health problems to be more active. This short course is aimed at anyone working within sport & physical activity from coaches to front-of-house staff who would like to increase their knowledge & understanding of mental health within the context of their work. during the workshop you will; > Explore perceptions & misconceptions about mental health including the positive impact of sport and physical activity on physical & mental health & wellbeing > Understand the barriers that those people with mental health problems can experience in sport & physical activity > Have developed practical ways that you can create a positive sporting environment which is more inclusive & accessible to those people with mental health problems > Feel more confident to talk about mental health & wellbeing & know where to signpost people to > Develop an action plan to embed practices into your organisation No prior knowledge is necessary & this highly interactive workshop will help you develop practical tools to ensure your activities are even more inclusive.
