Students Participation in MUN 1 Date 29.07.17 and 30.07.17 Gandhidham Students of our school participated in MUN (Model United Nations) organized by Gujarat MUN at Gandhidham. It was an enriching experience for our students as they got acquainted with how the real United Nations works. One of our students, Shubh Arora, was awarded as the Best Reporter.

Achievements at Kala Maha Kumbh 2 Date 31.07.17 R.D. High School, Mundra Our students participated in Kala Maha Kumbh held by Gujarat Government. They went to Shri R.D School, Mundra for Taluka Level Competition. Our students participated in three events- Solo singing, Group Singing and Bharatnatyam. It is a matter of pride that they won the first prize in all the three events. Students will now take part at District level on 8 th August at Madhapar (Bhuj).

A Talk on Nutrition by Dr. Triyank Shukla. Date 01.08.17 3 Multipurpose Hall Last week, the Primary Section began the celebration of their Nutritional week to inculcate healthy eating habits among children. On the first day they had shown a video and a presentation to children informing the importance of nutritional food. To give more information on healthy eating habits, Dr. Triyank Shukla, a Paediatrician from Adani Hospital Mundra, was invited. He enlightened the students regarding the importance of healthy eating habits to children. He also guided students about their daily diet.

A Talk on Precautions for Swine Flu by Dr. Foram Babriya Date 02.08.17 4 Multi Purpose Hall Dr. Foram Babriya from Bhujpur Primary Health Centre visited our school to spread awareness about the outspread of Swine Flu. She was officially sent by the government of Gujarat to make the students and teachers aware about swine flu. She informed children about the symptoms of Swine Flu and the necessary precautions to be taken to avoid it.

District Level Ball Badminton Competition Date 02.08.17 6 Maska,Mandvi Our students went to participate in District level under 19 Ball Badminton Competition arranged by the Sports Department of the Government of Gujarat at Maska, Mandvi. The Girls team got the opportunity to play at the District level. The Boys team got 1 st position and are selected for the State level. A Visit to Adani Nursery by Class 9 Date 02.08.17 7 Adani Nursery The students of class 9 have a lesson Improvement in Food Resources in their Science textbook. To make the classroom learning even more interesting and make students acquainted with the new techniques of farming, they were taken to Adani Nursery for a visit. They were shown and informed about the various innovative ways of farming and growing of plants. They also saw the cultivation of dragon fruit. The experience was informative as well as enriching.

Co Curricular Activities Date 02.08.17 8 Multi Purpose Hall Quiz Competition An Inter House Quiz Competition for the classes IX to XII was held to boost the knowledge of students. It was an interesting experience for both the participating students and the audience. The students of Tulsi House won the competition whereas the Gandhi House team was the runner-up.

Co Curricular Activities Date 02.08.17 Respective s Rakhi Making and Speaking about an Object Rakhi Making activity was arranged for classes I to II. Students made beautiful rakhis with the help of their teachers. The students of classes III to V had an activity of Speaking About An Object to help them enhance their speaking skills.

Open House Meeting with Students of classes 3 to 5 Date 03.08.17 9 Multi Purpose Hall The Acting Principal had an Open House Meeting with the students of classes 3 to 5. He told children about the importance of following discipline and keeping safe. Furthermore, he asked children to suggest on how they will follow discipline so that they can remain safe. He also asked them to express their expctations. The students shared their views and concerns freely.

Acting Principal s Meeting with Teachers of Classes IX to XII Date 03.08.17 10 Office A meeting of the teachers teaching the classes IX to XII was called by the Acting Principal. The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the performance of the low scoring students and teachers strategy to help them out in order to get good results in the board examinations. The Acting Principal instructed the teachers that they should start working with the low achievers from the very beginning. He also told that the teachers cannot cancel the enrichment classes without his prior permission.

Certificate Distribution Khel Maha Kumbh Date 04.08.17 11 Multi Purpose Hall Our students participated in Khel Maha Kumbh Ball Badminton Competition at Maska, Mandvi. The Acting principal felicitated the students with the Certificates and congratulated them all.

Kala Maha Kumbh Winners Appreciated Date 04.08.17 12 Multi Purpose Hall The taluka level winners of Kala Maha Kumb were appreciated by the Acting Principal. He congratulated Mr. Parag Sompura for his efforts. He applauded the students for their winning performance.

Open House Meeting with Students of Classes 6 to 8 Date 04.08.17 13 Multi Purpose Hall The students of the classes 6 to 8 had an open house meeting with the Acting Principal. It was an opportunity for the students of these classes to voice out their concerns over academic and non-academic areas. The students shared their problems and views freely.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration Date 05.08.17 15 Multi Purpose Hall Raksha bandhan, a festival celebrating the pious relationship of a brother with his sister, was celebrated with a great fervour and enthusiasm by Nanak House. The students of Nanak House presented the history behind the festival through a beautiful dramatic presentation accompanied by a poetic recitation. The dance added to the charm of the celebration.

Investiture Ceremony Date 05.08.17 16 Multi Purpose Hall The investiture ceremony for the newly elected Prefectorial Board was organized in a grand ceremony. The office bearers were felicitated with a sash and a badge. They also took the oath of performing their duties without any fear or favour. The Acting Principal congratulated them all. On this occasion class X Zinnias presented an inspirational song.

A Visit by Subedar Pathan Firoz Khan Date 05.08.17 17 School Our school has got the approval for NCC. Subedar Pathan Firoz Khan, an officer from NCC office Bhuj visited our school for the selection of the cadets.

Navneet Masterstroke All India Drawing Competition 2017 Date 05.08.17 18 Respective Class Rooms Navneet Masterstroke All India Drawing Competition 2017 was held for classes II to VIII. The children drew and coloured the pictures as per the topics given to them. The school participated in this competition last year as well.
