They now await the winners of the other qualifier for the chance to represent Basingstoke Schools in the Regional Competition. Mr Minton CHILDREN IN NEED - PE DEPARTMENT & SPORT AMBASSADORS The Sport Ambassadors and I have organised some brilliant events this week all to raise money for Children in Need. So far Just Dance was a big hit with lots of students taking part, then we had the Year 11 girls take on the Year 11 boys who dressed for the occasion! The girls did beat the boys who now want a re-match! The staff have beaten the boys basketball team, although it was a close victory (8-5) and finally watch this space for an update on the Year 11 netball team who took on the staff team during second break today. Lots of money so far has been raised so thank you to those that have supported the matches and donated. Miss Watson YEAR 9 NETBALL The A team beat Costello 7-4 on Tuesday. They have been playing so well as a team and learning new strategies as they go along. So far they have a 100% win ratio, keep going girls! Player s player was Mya Bradford. Unfortunately the B team did not win against Brighton Hill but put a strong fight up, especially in the final quarter. Player s player Mea Fleming in Year 8. Miss Watson CROSS-COUNTRY Well done to all of the athletes for taking part in the Cross- Country last week. There were some excellent performances from all involved. Captain, Kean Hamilton- Jones, has now qualified for the next round. Well done! Mr Minton
