National network of schools in which talented young sporters are enabled to realise their ambitions in the field of sports and meanwhile get a school diploma at their highest attainable level. NOC*NSF National Consultative body for Education and Top-class sport (Landelijk Overleg Onderwijs en Topsport) came into existence in 1991 intensive contact with Topsport Gelderland (NOC*NSF) approximately 2700 LOOT students 24 LOOT schools

How do you become a LOOT student? When you meet one of the following requirements: - You are a youth sporter at the highest national level of your age category. You belong to the highest category of sporters (the so called A or B category according to NOC*NSF qualification). You are at least part of a regional or national selection. You are a youth football player of a professional soccer association.

Facilities: Flexible timetable with room for training sessions and matches. (Partial) exemption for certain subjects. Postponement or reduction of homework. Postponement or adaptation of tests and or school exams LOOT coordinator support. Possibility of spread exams over two school years
Possible exemption of subjects: Lower forms: certain elements of PE Higher forms of pre vocational secondary education (VMBO): PE, Social Science and Music / Drama 1 subject or element from the free set of subjects
Higher forms of Higher General Secondary Education (HAVO): PE Social science and Arts 1 (Cultural + Classical Education) chosen subject or chosen subject from a profile Higher forms of Pre university education (VWO): PE Social science, Science, Arts 1 (Cultural + Classical Education) chosen subject or chosen subject from a profile
Task of LOOT coordinator: (1 coordinator for each location) consults with pupils / sporters about the combination of school and sport handles exemptions and or special leave discusses time table adaptations makes agreements about written tests and school exams guards school results has contact with pupils / sporters and their parents has talks with parents answers any questions
