Renn s family was driving along Opera Estate Road on third day Chinese New Year when y spped help an elderly man struggling push an old lady on a wheelchair. y eventually hailed a cab send couple home after tyres wheelchair gave way. When Renn s dad suggested buying a new wheelchair for elderly woman, Renn his sister volunteered pay for new wheelchair with ir red-packet money. News Renn s family s act kindness went viral on internet but boy remains unassuming about it. To be able help ors in need sh what we have was his takeaway that eventful day. Renn s display compassion is heartening he is indeed a role model all TKP students. With Values in Action (VIA), formerly known as Community Involvement Programme (CIP), introduced this year highlight importance values students, we hope that more m will be able emulate Renn s compassion, contribute actively community. Job Week Launch 2014 Job Week Launch is an annual ceremony graced by President Republic Singapore Chief Scout, Dr. Tony Tan Keng Yam. Our TKP cub scouts take part in this Job Week annually. Job Week trains cub scouts realise dignity in lab virtue in honest work a young age. This year, East Area represented Singapore Scouts in Job Week Launch. During launch, Chief Scout witnessed a multi-racial contingent boy girl scouts East Area perform simple jobs tasks at Jamiyah Home for Aged. President n acknowledged ir efforts with a nomination donation his signature in ir Job Week cards. One Sixers, Matin Ansari, 6 Charity was selected represent TKP perform jobs at Home. Job Week teaches scouts be independent. After participating in Job Week for third time, I also learnt not take things for granted. Pebble painting was introduced Art Club members as ir first lesson for 2014. Students first sketched ir designs on drawing papers before painting m on pebbles. ir art pieces n brought TK Fest as samples. following student helpers reflections ir experiences: My day at booth was fun. I enjoyed decorating those pebbles with little children. Two things that I have learnt this experience I feel that communication cooperation important in order for us achieve goals. Finishing pebble painting was not an easy task for those little ones. But y persevered! In TKP, we believe in leveraging partnerships exp educational opportunities for benefit students. sustained partnership between EICS TKPS provides an auntic opportunity for students cultivate 21st century skills such as global awness cultural sensitivity. During ir 4-day stay, EICS students experienced Singapore s schooling life as y participated in classroom activities. Our TKP students expressed that y had benefitted this cultural exchange as ambassadors school: experience helped me live out respect, responsibility, compassion EICS TKP students bonding over breakfast! self-discipline. Michelle was shy so I had wait patiently in respect for her. I saw it as my responsibility take good c her as a very good friend.
