TARGET AREAS FROM 2011 RESULTS I. We fell below DFG in % Adv. Proficient in LA school wide in 2011. In 2012 we surpassed the DFG avg. in Adv. Proficient 11.1% to 10.4 % school-wide. Goal Achieved. II. Elementary SE subgroup (Gr. 3-5) failed to make AYP in LA. AYP was not used this year due to a new accountability system adopted by the NJDOE. SE subgroup did meet state performance target under new system. Goal Achieved?
TARGET AREAS BASED ON 2012 RESULTS I. Improve our Adv. Proficient numbers in LA for Grades 3&4. II. Improve our Passing rate in LA for School wide performance. (see new ESEA waiver Annual Progress Targets) III. Maintain our overall school performance as compared to DFG/State avgs.
New 2012 Annual Progress Targets States were offered the option of requesting waivers from the federal NCLB mandate of 100% proficiency by 2014- deemed unrealistic. NJDOE has opted for a new accountability system based on annual increments so that within 6 years the % partially proficient will be cut in half. Annual Progress Targets replace the AYP. The State proficiency goal is 90% and will increase to 95% in 2015. Each school has a unique performance target based on the 2011 NJASK results. MES needs to increase 1.5% each year in LA to meet performance targets. In Math we met the 90% proficiency goal. Results will include those students who took the APA.
