Aclara University Virtual Classroom and Webinars The Aclara University Virtual Classroom allows students to attend live, classroom-based courses from any location with internet access. Courses will be conducted on advanced topics and will generally last from 4 to 8 hours. Course fees are on a per-person basis and are subject to a minimum and maximum number of attendees per session. Register for classes via the Aclara University website. The webinar schedule is dynamic and will change throughout the year according to customer needs. Aclara will announce dates, prices and topics for webinars throughout the year with advance notice on Aclara Connect. We will add topics and dates, as appropriate, in conjunction with software releases, common call center topics, etc. On-Demand Training & Aclara s Online Learning Center Aclara s on-demand training makes content available to you in a convenient, cost-effective online environment. The OLC has recordings of several webinars, streaming educational videos, and simulations which walk you through a specific task. Access the OLC by going to the Aclara University website. Need to know how to accomplish a specific task? Our Technical Training Specialists can help. Email training@aclara.com with your request. The Training department will work with you to conduct remote training with a live instructor, or will develop a training aid and post it to the OLC at no cost to you. Classroom Training Training registration and/or cancellations must be submitted using the registration websites on Aclara Connect. An email confirming your seat(s) in the class, a map of Aclara s location and hotel information will be sent to the email address you provided during registration. Solon classes are on a first come, first served basis, pursuant to the maximum number of attendees from one utility, as specified in Schedule A of the Maintenance Agreement. Class sizes are limited to 20 students (max) to ensure every student receives the attention they need for a successful learning experience. The registration cutoff date is two weeks prior to the first day of class. Classes are subject to cancellation if there is insufficient enrollment. Substation Communications Equipment (SCE) SCE training is a 2-day class designed for anyone involved in TWACS system SCE operations, maintenance, or troubleshooting. The class covers the SCE equipment from the hardware and functional perspectives, as well as the interaction between the various SCE components. Note: Aclara recommends that new customers attend this course prior to system installation. It involves both the physical integration and use of the Aclara integration software. Students will be certified using the I-210 (or the Focus AL as an alternative residential meter) and kv2c meters. Students may add additional meter certifications through the Online Learning Center (OLC). The course is designed for anyone involved in the process of troubleshooting Aclara transponders and is mandatory for anyone integrating TWACS modules into new or existing meters. Online Learning Center The Online Learning Center (OLC) provides customers with the ability to learn anytime, anywhere. The OLC has a catalog of training courses ranging from 2 minute how-to courses, perfect for training employees on specific tasks, to complete courses on a wide variety of subjects. Some of the offerings include iideas, PROASYS, TWACS Use in VT Connected Meters, TNS Administration, Demand Response, and a wide variety of online courses. New subjects are added regularly, check the catalog often. If you have a suggestion or idea for a new class you would like us to offer, contact us at training@aclara.com. Aclara University Virtual Classroom The Aclara University Virtual Classroom allows students to attend advanced TWACS courses without the need to travel. These courses are more in-depth than webinars and require the student to be engaged with the rest of the class. Virtual Classroom course will vary in length from 2 to 8 hours and costs are based on your Service Level Agreement.
