Set academic goals for yourself. High school presents a challenging landscape. Develop good study habits. If you sense a problem developing, address it early. Plan challenging courses in high school. The types of courses you take are just as important as your GPA. Start thinking about what you might want to do after high school college, trade school, military whatever it is you want to start researching different options. Explore your interests. Get involved with the wide range of clubs and activities that are offered. Try something new! Consider how your interests in and out of the classroom intersect. Is there a way you might be able to pursue this further with a summer program?

When you are planning your courses in high school it is important to think about all 4 years of High School. Your 4-Year Plan of classes is a living plan that can and most likely will change as you change! For right now just visualize all the classes you need to take for graduation, along with the classes that you would like to fit in over the next four years to develop a plan, keeping in mind that it might change!
