From the desk of the Principal Page 2 Dear Parents and Caregivers, Student Representative Council (SRC) It is my honour to introduce the first of our Student Representative Council members for 2018. 1/2M River Meredith and Theodore Rainford 1/2K Lexi Forrester and Alexander Popovski 1/2S Lewis Andrews and Tamara Bridge 3/4V Ben Parry and Zoe Pascoe 3/4O Barry Dennis and Chelsea Neill 4/5W Angus Newton and Annabel Wouters 5/6TNT Jack Tully and Kyla Nowlan 5/6D Ebony Pascoe and Alby Ferguson This morning our Term 1 SRC members were presented with their badges whilst their loved ones watched on. Our SRC plays a big role in giving our students a voice and provides a strong platform for school decisions. Each term, every class decides their two SRC members and those members attend SRC meetings with Ms Seymour or an executive teacher. At these meetings we discuss fundraising opportunities, set plans for the year and track our progress towards our school goals. We also discuss school and playground needs and make decisions on school matters. Congratulations to the mentioned Term 1 representatives. Student Team Induction Ceremony This Friday afternoon we are hosting our 2018 Student Team Induction Ceremony in the Hall. The ceremony will commence at 2pm and parents and loved ones are invited to attend. This ceremony is for all students (years 3-6) who applied to be part of our Citizenship and Leadership teams, as well as our Sports House Captains and Year 6 Student Leadership Team. The ceremony will be run by our school captains Elliot and Calista. A reminder that this ceremony will be followed by our Swimming Championship presentation. Figtree High School Expo Night This Wednesday evening, March 7, Figtree High School is hosting their Expo night for 2019 and 2020 students. The event starts at 5:30pm in the Auditorium.
