Congratulations to all our wonderful Preps on completing their first Term. We hope everyone has a wonderful break and we will see you on Monday the 16th of April to start Term 2. NPPS Open Day Prep 2019 Our Nichols Point Primary School Open Day will be held on Thursday 24 th May 2018. Open Day Tour bookings will open at the beginning of next term. If you have a sibling of a student that will be attending Prep in 2019, please contact the front office and register their details. Parents Association The next Parents Association Meeting will be held Tuesday 17th April in the Staff Café @7:30pm, everyone welcome School Photos School Photos are on Friday 27th April. If you wish to order a family photo, please come and collect the envelope from the front office. STEM Expo Congratulations to all Grade 5/6 students on their fantastic STEM Cool Games Projects. It was great seeing how excited the students were to present their Winter Olympic designs in yesterday s expo. There were some magnificent designs on display. Thanks to all the family members who came along to support the expo and thanks to the work from our Grade 5/6 teachers who have helped the students through this process and give the kids the opportunity. Leadership Workshop On Friday 23rd March, our leadership group (School Captains and JSC Presidents) attended a Leadership Workshop at Mildura Senior College. The guest speakers from Melbourne spoke about different types of leadership, how to involve everyone at the school in leadership programs and setting goals for the year. Cricket Trials Congratulations to our Nichols Point Primary School students who today took part in the School Sport Victoria State Cricket Trials. Thank you to Cricket Victoria for running this opportunity.

Nichols Point Primary School proudly presents Cloud Copy Click Outdoor Cinema Night FRIDAY 27 TH APRIL 2018 Nichols Point Primary School is holding a family outdoor cinema night on our back oval on Friday the 27th of April. This is a great way of bringing our families together for a community event and raise funds to help our school. The movie for the night will be Rock Dog and tickets are on sale NOW! $30 per family (2 adults & 3 children) $10 Single $5 Child (13 years and under) Under 3 is free There will be a number of food vans on site if you wish to purchase your dinner. Pre-Movie entertainment will be provided by the school choir, instrumental students and DJ Harvey. We are also grateful to receive any products or services that we can use as prizes or auction items. Volunteers Needed! We are seeking helpers to fill 45-minute slots on a number of stands including raffle ticket/movie ticket sales, if you are able to help please contact the front office Raffle tickets are going home to the eldest child in the family today. Denholm came 5th in the 800m, 4th in the 1500m and 3rd in the 400m. Well done Denholm! School Sport Victoria Tennis Finals Congratulations to our very own Lewis Dichiera, who played at the School Sport Victoria Loddon Mallee Tennis Finals in Swan Hill. Lewis won all his matches to get him to the Grand Final. Unfortunately Lewis went down to Sam Cumming (who is in effect Lewis doubles partner). Well done Sam on the win. By finishing Runners Up at the event, Lewis has qualified for the School Sport Vic State Tennis Finals in Melbourne, which will be played in Term 2. What a remarkable achievement Lewis, all of Nichols Point Primary is behind you. Irymple Swimming Club Big congratulations to Hamish Pitt, Will Anderson and Will Nicholds for also participating in the Irymple Swimming club meet last week. Awesome achievements from you all, you should be very proud Regional Swimming Congratulations to Ethan Hendy & Ellie Pitt who represented Nichols Point at the regional swimming. Ethan came 3rd in the backstroke & Ellie came 4th in her events.
