I request all the alumni to give suggestions on various programs in the department. Your Suggestions will be analyzed and will be implemented in the department. It is my proud privilege to announce that our Department has achieved the 80% placements for the 2008-09 registered students even there is down fall in software area. We are now concentrating more on research works for the students in the upcoming years.
A National Level Technical Paper Presentation and Projects Display contest e-jive was organized by the ECE department Association with active participation of students. This event was organized on 24 th Jan 2009 in the college premises. Out of 526 papers received, 40 were selected for paper presentation and 32 were selected for poster presentation. In addition 33 were selected for project exhibition and 8 teams were selected for quiz competition. The Guest of honour M.r Sudhanshu Goswami(G.M of Reliance), addressed the gathering and in their Presidential remarks he emphasized the need for the Organization of programs like Paper contests and they advised the students to actively participate in such programs to update their knowledge and to know about the latest developments in Electronics field Judges: M.r Srinivas Prof & Vice Principal, Sai Aditya Engineering College Sridevi Prof & Head, ECE Department, Aditya Engineering College. First Prize : An amount of Rs 2000/- and Mementos P.hara gopal and M.prakash rao of chaitinya inst. Of engg and tech. gave paper on MC_CDMA for wireless broadband beyond 3G Second Prize : An amount of Rs 1500/- and Mementos k.v brahma rao and N.prasada raju of sri vasavi engg college gave paper on Digital Image Processing.
Association of Electronics and Communication Engineering (AECE) The Electronics Association of PRAGATI aims for a platform to bring out the technical and cultural talents of the students of the department. The Electronics Association has conducted a number of seminars about the recent trends in Electronics and communication like embedded system, fuzzy logic, VHDL programming, image processing etc by eminent personalities in this field. Industrial visits to various well reputed firms. In addition to the normal syllabus routine experiments our Department inspires and gives proper guidance for developing technical skills like mini Projects, seminars in the field of Communication and Instrumentation. Seminars covering latest developments and trends in the above fields is being imparted to the students. The department conducts a National level technical and cultural fest under the brand name E-Jive every year. It includes national level students technical symposium and inter collegiate arts festival. Here several co competitions, Technical quiz and debate are conducted. Papers were presented under a wide variety covering various areas of electronics such as Wireless, Artificial Intelligence, Wi-Fi,VLSI signal processing, Embedded systems, Wireless Optical Networks, Networks and Data Security and Communication Systems. The association is also planning to start a multi national level research wing along with the academic section to equip our students to go and in hand with the ever changing Professional Societies (IETE) The students of ECE are organizing many events under IETE, and department is striving hard to introduce more student chapter this year like IEEE and ISTE. Guest lectures are arranged to improve knowledge in advanced technologies like Embedded systems, VLSI and Electromagnetics.
Alumni Meet Projects Industrial Visits Alumni Meeting was conducted on 16 Nov 2008.The Meeting was president by Dr.G.Raghuram and V.Prasanth HOD of ECE. Around 46 students were present who are working in various MNC companies, they have given valuable suggestion to strengthen ECE Department. The students are interested to conduct motivational classes in campus so as to make students of ECE well ready foe placements. The 131 students were divided into 37 batches and has done various projects in the fields of Embedded Systems, VLSI,DSP and Advanced Communication. The best project has been rewarded 2000/-.Mini Projects Has been introduced from this year to provide industrial interaction,. Students had done various study projects in reputed companies like BSNL, Reliance etc. An Industrial tour was organized during 27 th Nov to 6 th Dec 2008 for students of III B.Tech and they visited BHEL, HAL at Bangalore. Mr.V.Prasanth, Asst Prof and Mr.Prasad Asst Prof accompanied and guided them. One day industrial visit was organized for students of II & III B.Tech to paper Mills Rajamundry and Doordarshan Relay Station, BSNL at Kakinada. Faculty Development Mr.VVSVS Ramachandram attended workshop on Embedded system and practices at Sri Prakash Engineering college, Tuni on 9 th and 10 th Aug 2008 Mrs.K.Ramadevi and Ms.K.Satyasree attended workshop on Electromagnetic waves and Transmission lines at G.I.E.T, Rajamundry on 1 st and 2 nd Sep 2008. Ms.K.Nagadurga and P.Hema attended workshop on Advances in Signal and Image Processing at J.N.T.U Kakinada on 20 th and 21 st oct 2008.
