1 Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) Pilot Study of using Mobile Devices for Delivery of Educational Content and Interaction with the Students : To explore the possibilities of delivering content (educational in nature) to user on the move. To study the various strategies of interaction through the mobile devices with the user on the move. Programme Coordinator: Prof. Dharam Parkash Study of Status & Perceptions of Stake Holders of School Education Programmes Telecast on Gyan Darshan Channel. : To study process of planning and monitoring of educational media programmes telecast on the channel. To obtain information on receiving network i.e. cable operators, television sets and viewing conditions in the schools across the country. To study nature and extent of educational television programmes telecast and utilized. To obtain perceptions of students, teachers and parents reg. their relevance and usefulness. To provide suggestions for improvement of the system at various levels keeping in view findings of the study. Programme Coordinator: Prof. R.L. Phutela A Status Study of Computers in Schools : To study Infrastructure available for use of computer in different type of schools in terms of: a. Number and configuration, physical arrangements for placement. b. Networking arrangements: Local Area and Wide Area Networks. c. Computer support systems e.g. LCD projector, Media Projectors. d. Softwares for Computer Literacy and Computer Aided Learning. Utilization of computers in: e. School Management - admissions, preparation of timetable, accounts, examination etc. f. Teaching-learning process w.r.t. subject content matter, development of skills for accessing information, exploration and problem solving. g. Edutainment e.g. playing of video games. Phutela Educational Television Programme Production and Transmission To develop video programmes on specific themes on the scripts received from concerned faculty members/divisions and others forwarded by other content departments/authorities.
2 To develop transmission strategies and schedules, for preparation of capsules and their telecast programmes including telecast from CIET premises. To make available programmes for dissemination through the non-broadcast mode. Programme Coordinator: Prof. Dharam Parkash Production of Audio/Radio Programmes To enrich curricular competencies and experiences of the children through a variety of audio/radio programmes. To extend media (audio) support to achieve an objective of the National Curriculum Framework Programme Coordinator: Sh. P.D. Khattar Development of Audio/Video Scripts in Different Curricular Areas and on NCF-2005 : To develop audio/video scripts in different curricular areas including all school subjects for students and teachers. To develop audio/video scripts for general awareness approach, spirit and pedagogy of NCF 2005 for parents, teachers and teachers educators. Programme Coordinator: Sh. M.A. Hussain Development of Educational Media Scripts and Interactive Multimedia Module to Supplement and Complement Science, Technology and Environment Topics Based on NCF 2005 Specific Objective: To develop media scripts using different formats appropriate to a selected topic as models that can be used as examplers for developing similar topics To develop prototype interactive multimedia modules to facilitate conceptual understanding Programme Coordinator: Dr. Jitendra Singh Development of Content-Based Exemplar Programs/Materials for Video Teleconferencing for Secondary and Senior Secondary Teachers to be Organized by EDUSAT User Agencies The objectives of the program are to: To develop content based prototype material for use in the Video teleconferencing To provide training using prototype materials to few selected representatives school level of organization viz. KVs, NVs, SCERTs Programme Coordinator: Dr. Rajendra Pal Evolving Strategies and Methods for Production of Media Materials by Assessing Prevailing Practices Followed by CIET, SIETs and ET Cells of SCERTs The objectives of the program are to:

Analyse the procedures involved in production of a. v. materials w.r.t.: (a) Planning i.e. undertaking audience research, content specification, formation of production team. (b) Production holding of discussion meetings, deciding type of research for obtaining feedback & assessment of quality etc. (c) Post production- managing different aspects. Develop guidelines for producing cost effective media materials Programme Coordinator: Dr. Rajendra Pal Development of Series of ETV Programme on Sex & "HIV-AIDS" Education To research, design and develop ETV scripts on Sex Education. To develop ETV programmes on Sex Education Programme Coordinator: Sh. Manoj Shukul Development of Educational Television and Audio & Video Programmes on Eminent Personalities in Various Walks of Life. To select eminent personalities whose lives and work are example of excellence. To develop scripts on the various aspects of their lives & work. Programme Coordinator: Ms. Maya Pandit Development of Educational Media Programme Series on Fairs and Festivals of Rajasthan To produce educational media programmes on fairs and festival of Rajasthan. A.A.Khan Afridi Evolving Software for Children by the Children To orient and train children in script writing and production aspects of ETV programmes, Animation and toy making To facilitate/ evolve TV programmes, animation spots and toys, conceptualized and created by children for children. Programme Coordinator: Prof. Dharam Parkash Training in Media Research and Evaluation for DIET Faculty of North Eastern States to design a blue-print for the learning package focused on methodology of educational media research and evaluation.
4 to develop learning package based on the blue print. to validate the learning package to utilise the learning package in training workshops through video conferencing/face-to-face focused on development of research skills, preparing research design and research proposals on media research and evaluation. to promote media research and evaluation in ET of DIET's of North Eastern States. Nimesh Orientation & Intensive Training Course for ETV Scriptwriters To orient and train creative writers to the grammar and techniques of ETV. To develop a pool of script writers for developing scripts for ETV. Programme Coordinator Ms. Maya Pandit Audio Digital Editing To train the engineers and producers for audio digital editing. Programme Coordinator: Ms. Pushplata Kumar Organnising Workshop and Training Programme for Effective Use of EDUSAT : - To develop the training package for effective utilization of EDUSAT. Programme Coordinator: Prof. Utpal Mallik A Study of the Effectiveness of ET Based Teaching Learning Materials in Tribal Primary Schools to study the work done on educational technology based learning materials developed for primary schools in tribal & rural areas of other states. to analyse the syllabus of all the subjects taught upto primary stage of Madhya Pradesh to identify topics where ET inputs is required. to develop ET based teaching learning materials for primary schools in tribal areas. to validate TLM by a group of experts in educational technology to develop teachers manual to help in effective use of TLM in the classroom. to get the feed back from students & teachers about the quality of educational technology resource materials to study the effectiveness of TLM on Primary school learners in tribal areas. Programme Coordinator: Prof. Manjula Mathur An Evaluative study of the Process of Design & Production of Educational Media Programmes and their Effectiveness in students Learning. : The present study will be undertaken with the following objectives; to undertake qualitative analysis of media scripts from the view point of objectives, format, content organization, adequacy of content duration language etc. to identify the strength and weakness of the educational media script and corresponding programmes.
6 To study the students and teachers perception about the quality of educational media programmes To assess the effects of media programmes on students learning achievement. To suggest appropriate measures for the qualitative improvement of educational media programmes and their process of production.
