WIRRAL GIRL CHALLENGE It is a proven fact that helping other people makes all of us happier! There are also lots of people who need a bit of extra help. In your planners, you will find a grid in which you can record everything you do to help other people. If you have this work signed off, then you will be awarded a Wirral Girl Challenge badge. Here are some ideas of what you can do to volunteer: IN SCHOOL help younger pupils either in specific subject areas or generally by being a friendly face help teachers with the extra curricular groups and activities they run help teachers with a particular job get involved by helping with displays and school events help our support staff with any jobs they may have volunteer to run clubs or one-off events OUTSIDE SCHOOL help a relative with cleaning, shopping, cooking, etc help a neighbour - walk their dog, wash their car or, perhaps, do some shopping for them (always discuss this with people at home first!) volunteer to go round to elderly neighbours for a chat (always ask people at home first!) volunteer to help at your local Rainbows, Brownies, Beavers, etc groups volunteer at a club you go to: help younger children at your dance school or sports club or help the leaders of these clubs with administrative tasks You can also contact Bebington Voluntary Services for ideas: Mr Keelan Early Keelan.Early@communityactionwirral.org.uk
