Young Uttarakhand Annual Report 2011-12

Introduction The Young Uttarakhand is a Non - Governmental organization registered under all India society act bearing Regd. No 59759 Aims & Objectives: The Aims and Objectives for which the Young Uttarakhand Society is established are as under: i) To bring together all Uttarakhandis living in the different part of India and abroad by means of all forms of communications viz media, internet, and to encourage and foster the ideal of social service in them for the people and the State of Uttarakhand. ii) To promote advancement of knowledge on economic, social, political and other subjects of interest and benefit to the people of Uttarakhand and for that purpose to arrange or organize conferences, seminars, meetings and debates and to issue and publish journals, pamphlets, periodicals, books, monographs, reviews, papers and other organs. iii) To assist in improving the economic, vocational and professional standards of the Students of Uttarakhand by providing Scholarships, prizes, Career Guidance / Counseling classes & Study Material, General Study material, libraries and reading rooms and other facilities to the students of Uttarakhand. iv) To organize, establish, maintain, or assist schools, colleges and other institutions with the object of imparting education and career guidance to the people and also hostels for the benefits of the students. v) To organize, provide, establish and maintain funds for the needy people of Uttarakhand and for the purpose to provide stipends, scholarships, doles and other assistance with a view to improving their economic social and educational status. vi) To spread awareness among the People of Uttarakhand and the masses against various social, economical, political and other issues faced by the people and State of Uttarakhand and to raise voice against such issues by means of filing Public Interest Litigations in Courts, organizing Community awareness programmes and by adopting such other remedial measures. vii) To establish assist or support and maintain institutions for providing education or maintenance of orphans, widows, senior citizens and rehabilitation of physically challenged people.

viii) To organize and to assist physically as well as financially other organisations in organizing, from time to time, cultural events in different part of India so as to promote the culture, traditions and festivals of the State of Uttarakhand. ix) To do perform and undertake such other charitable objectives as may be considered necessary to be of general public utility and benefit. x) To promote economic, social, moral and cultural activities beneficial to the Uttarakhandi Community. Annual Report Year 2011-2012 We have great pleasure in presenting herewith 94th Annual Report for the year (1st April 2011 to 31st March 2012) The following Committee Members continued the office as follows. Activities during the year 2011-2012. Career Guidance Camp Kweralla, Almora Uttarakhand Two days Career Guidance Camp successfully conducted at GIC Kwerla Dist. Almora Uttarakhand on 23rd & 24th 2011. Shri Joginder Rawat approached Young Uttarakahnd to conduct a Career awareness program in his inter college about career awareness in high education as well as right guidance in career in different fileds. Young Uttarakand visited the school with below professional lecturers and 5 team members. They interact with students and provide valuable tips for future study and career options in different field. Mr. Lalit Prasad Dhoundiyal Engineering Mr. Subhash Kandpal Information & Technology Mr. KCS Rawat Management Mr. Neeraj Bawari HR / Admin Mr. Chandra Mohan Jytoi Mass Communication Mr. Joginder Singh Rawat Engineering / IT Mr. Amit Vaishnav Medical Mr. Chandra Kant Negi, Vipin Panwar and Dr. Suwran Rawat interact with Teachers and parents and awared parents about the current scenario of education and career option. Young Uttarakhand awarded 3 students with appreciation trophy and participation certificates who qualified GK and current affairs quiz competition. Young Uttarakhand also awarded 5 economically poor but brilliant students with scholarship. Career guidance camp at GIC Kweralla, Almora, Uttarakhand

Total expense on this camp was 48350/- including professional transportation, loading and fooding, Advertisement material, printing and stationery and Scholarships which are shown in audit report. Vijay Butola - Member Career Guidance Camp Munna Khal Tehri, Uttarakhand. Two days Career Guidance Camp successfully conducted at GIC Munnakhal Dist. Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand on 21st & 22nd 2011. Our Member Shri Vinod Jetudi has approached Young Uttarakahnd to conduct a Career awareness program in his village inter college about career awareness in high education as well as right guidance in career in different fields. Young Uttarakand visited the school with below professional lecturers and 5 team members. They interact with students and provide valuable tips for future study and career options in different field. Prize distribution during career guidance camp at GIC Munnakhal, Tihri, Uttarakhand Total expense on this camp was 52670/- including professional transportation, loading and fooding, Advertisement material, printing and stationery and Scholarships which are shown in audit report. The committee for this career guidance camp was: 1. CK Negi Convener 2. Vipin Panwar - Member 3. Bhasker Kandpal - Member 4. Vijay Butola - Member 5. Vivek Patwal Convener Young Uttarakhand Cine Awards 2011 Young Uttarakhand Cine Awards which is adjudged as an unique and innovative step towards promoting the Cine and Music Industry and giving due recognition to the artists of cine Industry who are promoting our culture and language through films and music throughout the region. This year the event organized in Srifort Auditorium New Delhi on 20 th February 2012 with support or sponsors mainly Rawat Builder Pvt. Ltd. And Snigdha Culture Centre & UANA with Sandeep Sharma (Advocate High Court). A cine artist has been awarded in 16 categories or their incredible contribution in cinema & music for the year 2011. Smt. Kabootari Devi awarded with Legendry Singer of Uttarakhand and Shri Parasar Gaur awarded with Life Time Achievement award 2011. Artist from Uttarakhand performed culatural activities in front of 2000+ audiences. Total expenses of the event were 7 lacs.

YUCA 2011 Team CONCLUSION: As the programmes conducted during the year 2011-2012 are much beneficial for the rural areas and for the needy students, culture and language and artist who deserved the appreciation. We have decided to implement all the programmes during the coming years also.
